Columbia Avenger Parka - Boys'

Protect your kid from mean Mother Nature with the Columbia Boys’ Avenger Parka. Detach the storm hood and pull out the interchangeable fleece liner when things let up. Columbia treats all its outerwear with a special water-repellant coating to help shed moisture in wet conditions, and gave the Avenger a waterproof zipper so no water can sneak its way in through the front. Columbia even added reflective safety accents to make your young one extra visible.

Bottom Line: Protect your little tornado from the storm.

Just bought this jacket for my son for Christmas and am wondering if it's really warm for those cold winter days...he's a snow freak and spends a lot of time playing outside.

The biggest factor in keeping the little one's warm is to keep them dry, which this coat will definitely do. With water proof zippers and our water repellency treatment your son should be able to enjoy the snow for hours.

Want to use this to ski. does it have anything to keep snow out at bottom?
thanks

no it doesnt have a powder skirt which prevents the snow from coming in from the bottom. Many kids jackets dont have the powder skirt. However if you look at some of the snowboard specific jackets such as burton, they tend to include the powder skirt with the jacket. Snowboarding jackets are fine to use for skiing.

Not good at all....

shipping wasnt as fast as I thought it would be. The zipper broke right away, during my son's 1st use. I usually love columbia brand, but I paid way to much for this coat, as the zipper broke. Not going to buy again from this site....
