Since discovering these shorts a few years ago, I have enjoyed them over all others. They have eluded me some years as well as some times of the year as far as availability. I was happy to get a few pair from these guys, and for the most part am satisfied. However, long after having purchased my size 30's and put them away I discovered that one particular color (of which I ordered 2 pairs) were very small. I've never run into this situation with this brand before, and as far as I know, these shorts aren't even made in a size smaller than 30. My bad. I should have tried them on before I assumed they would fit. My caution is: Don't assume anything, even if you are familiar with a brand and the way it fits your particular body.

Everything I buy these days, especially in shorts, are listed as "relaxed fit"! I am not fat and have thin legs
so I don't want shorts that look like there's room for two people. Are these shorts better fitted? Do you recommend another brand instead?

They are not loose fitting at all, but not tight either. I am pretty skinny and have slightly thin legs also. They fit perfect. My favorite shorts.
