I don't think I completely understand your question, but the case that comes with this lantern has "Model #2500" printed on the bottom of it.

Inside this case it says "For Models: 5150/5152/5154/2500", and I think this lantern is a model 2500.

I have both units so I can testify that the single "accordion" mantle on the Northstar is just as bright as the dual mantle (it has also lasted over 10 outings and has yet to need a new mantle - only use the "gold" mantles)... Northstar also has a metal "protection ring/cage" around the glass and although the "insta-start" feature is great- (how many times has the match gone out on you just when you finally get it in the hole?) it can scare the heck outta you when it takes a few sparks to get the unit to "fire up"...bottom line- you get more cause it costs more and its worth the extra money for those unpredictable windy/rainy trips.
The deluxe PerefectFlow is just like the whitegas lanterns of old except it has a new type of clamp that ties the glass to the top and frame.You still need another source of flame to light this unit- but it puts out good light and will last easily a night or two on one cylinder of propane ..same quality lantern but built a little cheaper (read above about getting what you pay for). Both lanterns are great for us while we camp/fish/hunt and I take them along every time...what I would like to know is....where can I find the plastic cases to protect them so I can use them for years to come and get rid of the cardboard box....HELP!
