Cloudveil Rayzar Ski Jacket - Women's

The designers at Cloudveil don't want to change into three different jackets a day, and they made the Women's Headwall Jacket assuming that you don't either. This windproof softshell sets you up for a day on the slopes but doesn't leave you hanging when it comes to looking stylish in town. The Headwall's three-layer shell consists of a water-repellent softshell face, a Windstopper membrane, and a warm, moisture-wicking Polartec 100 fleece lining. This Cloudveil jacket's powder skirt protects you from sneaky snow when you spin laps on your lunch break, and you can zip it off when it's time to head back to the office. Safeguard your iPod in the inner tricot-lined pocket and head to Main Street after work, looking stunning in the Headwall softshell's princess seams and feminine cut.

Bottom Line: As a midlayer or a standalone, the Rayzar Jacket takes you comfortably into the backcountry.

GREAT JACKET!!

By:

I love this Jacket. Very deceiving for its light weight. It is great for winter flyfishing as it is very warm with one mid weight layer or 2 lighter weight layers. Fits perfectly under my waders. Very comfortable with one mid weight layer 35 degrees and not too hot at 50 degrees. Perfect all weather ski jacket. Love the high neck to keep the wind out. Water beads up and rolls right off. Keeps the wind out and has great range of motion. I highly recommend the Rayzar jacket to anyone who loves winter sports!!

nice jacket

I bought this to replace my cloudveil serendipity jacket which was chewed (on wrist tabs and cordlocks) by the new dog we have. The newer serendipity jacket does not have the velcro cuff, which I prefer. The Rayzar is a bit more than I need (I like it for fly fishing, hiking, and everyday wear on cold days in south carolina), but I like it very much, it is more water resistent, and I look forward to a day when I can use if for skiing as well. I also like that the pockets are on the side (waist area) rather than on the chest (where they are on the serendipity). The only down side is the higher price. It is also a little tighter in the hip area than the Serendipity was...one important note: after I purchased the jacket I learned that Cloudveil does repairs, so I might pursue that for the old jacket, but plan to keep the new.

Dissapointed from Cloudveil

The material of the jacket is great, but the fit is bad. It's short and wide and the collar is very high. May be if you have several layers underneath it, it will look good, but overall i was disappointed. I love Cloudveil and i expected something different.

Perfect backcountry piece

It's official, I'm a Cloudveil junkie. This is the hottest brand out there. Using the Rayzar before the resort opens to hike up, and it's perfect. Breathes great but still keeps you dry in snow storm or tumble! Fabric has good stretch and great mobility. Roomy pockets that work with a pack. I'm going to use it for snowshoeing, too. Plus, it's so cute!
