I bought the cloudveil down patrol jacket from you last winter ('o7) and the zipper that connects and disconnects the hood has broken. How can I warranty this item?

You can either contact Cloudveil directly at 877.255.8345 (8-6 MST) and they will take very good care of you, or call Backcountry at 800-409-4502. I had a very good experience with a warantee directly with Cloudveil, sending in a somewhat older jacket and they gave me a gift card for the cost of a new one. If they don't help out, Backcountry offers 100% satisfaction guaranteed, so they would either refund you or get you a new jacket.

This Cloudveil Down Patrol is my favorite down jacket ever! The fit is perfect, true to size. Usually I wear between a small and XS, with this an XS has been perfect. The warmth and comfort cannot be beat. Not having to wear more than two shirts underneath for maximum warmth has been sweet...helps keep you feeling like you have just enough clothes on to stay warm no matter what. The hood is a great feature and being able to be removed is also very nice, although I haven't had to yet. I love this coat, and plan to wear it for years to come.

This is a great jacket. the gore windstopper is amazing. I have never gotten wet when wearing this. I have taken it boarding, kayaking, hiking, climbing. It is not the most durable fabric to be taking climbing...it will rip on the rocks if you are scraping or dragging the coat on it. It is super warm. When i go night skiing my upper body is so toasty warm it is almost unreal to be that warm night skiing! Great coat, lots of compliments on the fit and shape of it.
