CRKT H.U.G. Knife

The CRKT H.U.G. Knife—or Halligan's Ultimate Gadget—features a 2.30-inch single-side, spear point blade that is useful for penknife-type tasks. Columbia River Knife & Tool made this lightweight utility knife available with a flat stainless steel Razor-Sharp or combo Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point serrated blade. CRKT and designer Ed Halligan made this knife's stainless steel frame with an internal Frame Lock for safe and predictable opening. A single Zytel scale makes the handle fit well in your hand, and a finger choil on the bottom and friction grooves at the thumb area create a secure grip.

Small blade easily clips on pocket and doesn't groin you in the process. Serrated edge only 1.5cm, or about 25% of blade length. Need 2 hands to open effectively - can open w one, but takes concentration to not slice fingers (at least for me, a normal-sized 6'1" guy. Could thus seriously use open assist like the Tiny Tighe (also have that one). Does the job of a easy clip it and forget it knife. Three stars bc of lack of opening assist - I know one of these days I'm going to slice myself playing w the knife...

CRKT H.U.G. - Durable, Sharp & Unique

..Bought this knife for a great price off Steepandcheap.com this past summer and have been very pleased with it thus far. I take it camping/backpacking and it has stood up to the test - I opted for the serrated edge and have used it for everything from fishing to cooking to cutting & sharpening tree branches for campfire cooking. It is very solidly built, and very sharp. I love the way it looks - such a unique, eye-catching design. This is a great knife; I highly recommend it.
