CamelBak Podium Watter Bottle

The CamelBak Podium Water Bottle's drink valve lets you hydrate on your bike ride without drenching the front of your jersey. A bar at the base of the valve turns for leak-proof transport when the Podium is in your backpack, and the blend of polypropylene and HydroGuard keeps rubbery taste at bay. Unlike other bottles that have a bite-open, push-shut valve, the Podium Water Bottle has an easy-to-use, self-sealing valve.

Bottom Line: Grab CamelBak's Podium Water Bottle and enjoy splash-free drinks on your bike rides.

Finally! A bottle that does not leak.

This is a great product. IT DOES NOT LEAK. I've been a cyclist for over 50 years, and every water bottle I've had until this one leaked. This can be a serious problem as the liquid tends to accumulate on the underside of the bottom bracket and interferes with the movement of the cables typically found there. It also looks ugly to have the residue of the leaks all over the down tube and seat tube. Get this bottle and those problems will be behind you. It takes a little while to get used to opening the valve, but it quickly becomes second nature. I've not found it a problem to squeeze the water out though the bottle is clearly more substantial than the typical bicycle water bottle.

I have purchased over 25 Podium water bottles for my students...

I have purchased over 25 Podium water bottles for my students with the understanding that they were BPA free. Now I read that they are not when I went to the website specifically because they were advertised as such. Now what am I supposed to tell my students who have purchased them? What number is BPA free? *"This bottle is not BPA free. Camelbak will be launching their BPA free water bottles in May 2008. This will make them one of the very few plastic water bottle manufacturers to make BPA free water bottles."* Actually, I came here from the direct link from Camelback for their BPA free podium bottle line. My understanding is that it is BPA free.
