Burton Wheelie Flight Deck Luggage

Stuff your snowboard gear into the Burton Wheelie Flight Deck Luggage, and take off for a quick pow-hunting mission. Volume-enhancing CRAM zones around the zippers allow for overstuffing when you pick up an extra magazine and snacks for the flight, and front pockets make it easy to access your wallet and boarding pass. Strap your daypack to the main compartment with the Hideaway Snakestack attachment. The Wheelie Flight Deck meets most airline carry-on restrictions, and a removable storage section lets you keep your essentials close at hand after you store the main bag in the overhead compartment. This product is available for US shipment only.**DISCONTINUED**

Bottom Line: Pack this bag for a quick snow-shredding getaway.

Best overhead wheeled bag I've found

I had used an excellent Victorinox wheelie for a few years until my girlfriend got a Flight Deck. After borrowing hers on a couple flights, I had to get my own. Why is it the best? 1) Super space-efficient, due to compact telescoping handle and squared off corners (whereas my Victorinox and others, including the new Timbuk2 travel bags, are rounded and don't take advantage of the full size allowed by the airlines). 2) Excellent Burton construction. 3) Great little pockets and general layout.

Does anyone know whether this bag will fit into the typical overhead

Does anyone know whether this bag will fit into the typical overhead compartment on like a 737, A319/320, etc. with the top facing out like you're supposed to? Or do you have to turn it sideways and eat up the whole overhead space? Thanks!

I've used my girlfriend's Flight Deck on a couple flights and have been able to fit it in the overhead as you described, not turned sideways. You might run into an issue on the smallest jets, but it seems like many size-compliant overhead bags have trouble on those planes.

Flight Deck

I just bought another Wheelie Flight Deck. They are the best bags ever. With the airline charges I use this bag almost exclusively when I travel know. I took a trip to Kauai/Maui and fit dress clothes, beach attire, and mask fins and snorkel gear!
