Burton Ak Glacier Softshell Jacket - Women's

The Burton Women’s AK Glacier Softshell Jacket rocks ultimate breathability, and lets you do your thang without getting In the way. This water- and wind-resistant softshell jacket kills it on both fronts, giving you an insulating mid-layer that keeps you warm during cold winter sessions, while offering you the protection of a DryRide shell for warmer spring rides. Burton gave the AK Glacier a shaped scoop collar for extra comfort on the mountain. An attached hood blocks out unexpected weather and a zippered chest pocket stashes your goodies close-at-hand.**DISCONTINUED**

Bottom Line: Rock it alone or layer it up.

I was looking for a lighttweight jacket and this is perfect. The best part is the collar that zips up to my nose. It offers great protection against windy days.

How does this fit size wize. Is it running small.I ordered a jacket in an XL and it was so small it should have been a medium. It was a Spyder Brand..Does this run true to size.

I just received this jacket in the red size small. It fits very well. I am a size 4 in standard sizing. I have room to wear a couple of thin layers under the jacket. It is quite flattering and not too short on the torso. I'm 5'6" and 120 lbs. If I had bought an XS it would have probably fit, but couldn't layer underneath. I really like this jacket and am almost considering getting it in black. I have Marmot and Mountain Hardwear jackets and this one was comparable to them in sizing.

Love it!

I have ordered and returned many jackets from backcountry over the past two years, trying to find the perfect one.... FINALLY, Burton comes along and hooks me up with a killer jacket that covers my body and keeps me warm and makes it easy for me to move around.... and backcountry hooked me up with a killer deal! Although I don't snowboard or ski, I do live in San Francisco and ride my bike EVERYWHERE. It's the best jacket to keep me dry in the drizzle and warm in the cool air while riding my bike or hanging out in the city. Sizing is pretty true, I opted for an XS to keep it flattering and snug, can still put some layers underneath too to keep me extra warm!

Really like this one

To summarize: nice midweight soft shell, flattering but not too snug, love the high neck and hood to block the wind, long torso, seems to fit true to size compared to Mountain Hardwear and Marmot jackets I own. Easily can wear one or two layers underneath.
