Burton AK 3L Hover Softshell Pant - Men's
When Mother Nature bares her teeth, Burton's premier Gore-tex shell, the Men's AK 3L Hover Pant, provides bomber, lightweight protection. This technical shell pant’s outer Gore-Tex fabric ensures not a drop of moisture infiltrates the pants and keeps thing breathable when you sweat. Burton used 8mm and 13mm Tiny Tape to seal the seams, along with water-resistant zippers, to cut the weight of the AK 3L Hover Pant even further. Ballistic nylon paneling provides killer durability, so you'll be wearing these pants for many seasons to come. In warmer weather, unzip the Hover Pants exterior hip vents to dump some heat. Burton’s signature fit provides you with enough room to move, without feeling overly baggy. **DISCONTINUED**
Bottom Line: For lightweight, bomber protection from cold and moisture, look to the Burton AK 3L Hover Pant.

It says Gortex softshell or proshell. What is the difference and what pants have what please?

thats an AWESOME question, i dont know which is which but ive wondered that too. Goretex softshell is a bit less durable but softer to the touch, slightly stretchy, and way more breathable, and of course its totaly waterproof. Goretex proshell is traditional harshell material and is super durable, but not as soft or breathable as shoftshell

Correct, Proshell will have a crinkly feel to it where the softshell will breath better and be softer to the touch w/out that crinkly feeling.

According to the Burton website...
- Goldenseal, Tiger Camo and Olive are Softshell

Best pants I have ever owned
By: Jonathan Davis

I was tired of getting wet and having pants rip so I invested in these and I could not be happier. Burton pants fit me way better than any other brand. 5'11" 32W 32L and I wear a Large. I love the pockets, they are the perfect size. Breathability is insane because there are vents on the inside and outside of the thighs that create a wind tunnel over your legs. They are light, on a scale from 1-10 they are a 3 (ha 3L). These pants are the best piece of gear I own. Worth every (discounted 50% off) penny.

I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and a 33" waist, should I go with the L or XL?

Depends on what kind of style you rock. I am 5"11" with a 32" waist and the large fits me exactly how I like, a little long but not too baggy. I think the inseam on the size chart is the most important measurement so get an XL. You can always wear a belt and the waist adjusters work well.

Great all-season pants!

Great pants for all-season use. The zippers work great for fast air cooling on spring days. They work great also on wet snow days keeping the moisture out. Only flaw i found in them is that the glove clip in the front pockets should be removed as it digs in when you bail. All i need now is a matching jacket though to be able to zip the pants to powderskirt.
