Burton Idiom 3L Jacket - Men's

Thanks to 20K-rated waterproof fabric, the Burton Men's iDiom Men's Continuum Jacket keeps you bone-dry on the slopes. Plus, you don't have to travel to the Land of the Rising Sun to get your hands on this jacket. We are proud to be one of the few North American vendors who can offer Burton's limited-edition iDiom line, which used to be available only in Japan. The iDiom Continuum Jacket gives you unparalleled weather protection with a waterproof breathable coating, fully taped seams, and waterproof zippers. Mesh-lined pitzips help regulate your body temperature, while pockets for your iPod, goggles, and pass keep you organized. Team up these tech features with clean lines and low-key styling and you get a jacket fit for the entire mountain—from the terrain park to remote powder stashes. *Available for US Shipment Only.

Bottom Line: You no longer have to shred Mt. Fuji to rock the Burton iDiom Continuum Jacket.

Stylin' Jacket

By:

Great jacket for the price. I bought this bad boy in a large black and it seems to fit my frame very well (6' 3", 33 waist, blah) while still having plenty of room for a fleece hoody or whatever you choose to insulate with. I love the styling right down to its red zipper tabs. Even better, having a 3L lightweight jacket with room for layering means that I can rock the same jacket on a sunny day in April or a freezing death blow in mid Jan without overheating or chilling my nethers. One thing I would have liked to see is a mesh lining over the vents to keep snow out of my pits but you can't win 'em all.

...very slim fit.

The jacket is very well made but does not feel substantial, especially given the price. It's also very slim - fits more like a fleece instead of shell. Presumably since it's for the Japanese market originally the sizes run slightly smaller then North American sizes. If you want a lightweight shell that you can take with you in a backpack then this is it.
