Burton 3L Sqwawk Softshell Jacket - Men's

The Burton Men's 3L Sqwawk Softshell Jacket doesn't care . Whatever the weather, whatever your riding style, this softshell's Gore-Tex fabric will keep you bone-dry and moving freely. To guarantee no water gets into the Sqwawk Softshell's interior, Burton sealed the seams with flannel-printed seam tape, then gave the Sqwawk water-resistant Riri zippers throughout. On deep days, button up this Burton Jacket's interior waist gaiter to keep the fluff out during those drawn-out powder slashes. Fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, a pass pocket, and pack-friendly seams add comfort and convenience to this minimalist, no-frills softshell. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Kill it in all conditions with the Burton 3L Sqwawk Softshell Jacket.

Great jacket overall. Lightweight and kept wind out. Also kept me dry all day long. Only minor complaint is lack of inside pocket.

4.5 for a very good jacket

I just took this to Park City and Snowbird and found the jacket to perform very well. The fabric basically feels like normal gore-tex, but is stretchy in certain parts and has a soft fleecy feel on the inside. Very minimalistic design. The only thing I really don't like is the off-set zipper at the neck. I know this is a trendy thing to do, but it creates an asymetrical feel, especially if the collar is zipped down a few inches. It flaps a lot on one side and not on the other. And an interior pocket would be nice. Good price here on this site. Grab yours fast!

Sick jacket

This jacket is very well made. I love the zipper and how it zips to the side. This jacket and zipper are crazy waterproof.

Quality Product

This is a very good shell for the $. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. The only things I would ask for is a detachable hood and more interior pockets such as the Cyclic jacket. But the Cyclic does not have the 3L status. The 3L is a much better made shell and totally proofed. Water and wind. I also dig the lowflash factor. Plain quality backcountry gear. The zippers are very good. A little stiff at first but will smooth out with some use. And this site great with customer service returns and exchanges. I recommend this jacket and website. Later!

Borat says "High Five, very nice"

I love Gore Tex and I love Gore Tex soft shell material. This jacket incorporates breathable, waterproof tech, and stretchy fabric where you need it- shoulders and back, the full back! Two way stretchy and breathable which is great when wearing a pack or throwing a 540. The waterproof RIRI zippers are crazy- you can literally pool water on top of them with zero leakage (yes I took a shower in it). Jacket is light and breathable. Gore soft shell is very very breathable for backcountry use and I have stayed warm with the fleece liner and windproof quality when sitting on a lift. Great in spring conditions with a light base layer. I have never had wet under layers wearing this softshell and I've never been chilled to the bone. This is the most substantial jacket by Burton to day- quality material, stitching, design and fit. There are no inner pockets though, which could be improved to store a hat or extra gloves. That's my only complaint. I think it's the perfect front and backcountry jacket for riders. The offset center zip is nice as it comes up to your ear, not your lips so you don't end up eating cold metal all winter. By the way, showering in your jacket is a great way to test breathability and waterproofness...at least that's what I tell the wife.
