Burton EST Snowboard Binding

If you haven't yet heard of Burton's new EST Snowboard Bindings, here's the scoop: They're from the future. Burton did away with the rigid baseplates found on most bindings and replaced them with removable PU SensoryBEDs (you can take them out and ride right on the topsheet if you want to). This revolutionary yet minimalist setup has big-ass benefits. For one, board feel skyrockets. Dampening is amplified, response goes through the roof, and all the while your speed and control reach new heights on rough terrain and pro-park features. The EST Bindings mount exclusively to Burton's Stria, X8, Jeremy Jones, and Un..Inc snowboards, creating a seamless binding-to-board relationship and four-dimensional, infinite stance options for freestyle performance the mountain has never witnessed.

Bottom Line: Burton's E.S.T. Bindings throw out tradition in favor of record-setting response and endless stance options.

New dimension in riding!

EST is amazing! It rides like a dream. Most noticeable is the lack of the plate under foot when you are in these bindings. You get a better on board feel all the way through. Better torsional feel, you feel like you can control your board better riding either reg or switch.

I combined this binding with the X8 and it feels incredible homies! Wicked flex although it says medium-flex but super reactive! You can nose and tail press all day...

EST gives riders better board feel, which is awesome on rails/jibs. It also provides a new level of comfort. If you plan on buying a Burton Board with ICS, get these.

E.S.T. = Extra Sensory Technology

This bindings are pretty cool.. First thing is First, you can only use this binding on Burton Boards that have the new ICS Channel (Jeremy Jones, X8, Stria, Un Inc). They new base of this binding is pretty crazy, you're screw inserts are out on the side of the binding now, removing the disc completely from under your foot giving you more feeling. The new "foam" like material under foot flexes very naturally giving you more feel under foot. The "foam" has little windows so you can dial in your exact stance width and angles very easily and can be adjusted on the fly. Cool thing, rumors have it that Jeremy Jones has been removing the "foam" (which is super easy to do) and has been riding the bindings with just his boot against to board for even more feel. If you're spending the $$ and getting and ICS board, it is worth it to get the full effect out of that deck with the E.S.T. binding.
