Burton AK 3L Hover Pant - Men's

When Mother Nature bares her teeth, Burton's premier Gore-tex shell, the Men's AK 3L Hover Pant, provides bomber, lightweight protection. This technical shell pants' outer Gore-Tex fabric ensures not a drop of moisture infiltrates the pants, while a Micro Grid Barrier liner improves breathability, has a soft feel, and cuts weight as compared to regular nylon liners. The lightweight liner also glides over your insulating layers to provide unparalleled freedom of movement when tweaking grabs or spinning. Burton used 8mm and 13mm Tiny Tape to seal the seams, along with water-resistant zippers, to cut the weight of the AK 3L Hover Pant even further. Ballistic nylon paneling provides killer durability, so you'll be wearing these pants for many seasons to come. In warmer weather, unzip the Hover Pants exterior hip vents to dump some heat. A relaxed fit provides you with enough room to move, without feeling overly baggy. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: For lightweight, bomber weather protection, look to the Burton AK 3L Hover Pant.

definitely necessity

I purchased these as a gift, but I'm definitely impressed with them. Mesh is not necessary, in my opinion agreeing with previous poster. Too loose of fit for the receiver, but loves them all the same.

perfect..

Excellent pants....Insanely light + functional.. Other pants feel heavy compared to these... They stay dry after 8 hours riding pow... Perfect fit, I would describe them as a "loose" cut = not too baggy =perfect 4 pockets+key clip+ 2 vents-What else could you possibly need?? Got the camo at the beginning of the year and added the black to replace my 20k sessions pants.. An absolute must-own for anyone who rides deeps snow for 6+ hours a day.

Great Pants

Great pants, but designed for boarding and my skis cut the inside of the pant legs because there is no inside cuff reinforcement.

FOR THE MOST PART

I agree mesh on the vents would be nice AND would match the vents on the 3l hover jacket. But my legs tend to stay warm even with just a shell, and I've never had to open the vents. Combined with the 3l jacket this is an invincible combo. I'd recommend a light or mid-weight base layer if your legs get cold.

to the above poster: 3L AK pants are designed for the backcountry and DO NOT NEED mesh vents!!!!

Getting it right...almost!

Purchased the stagger pant and returned before them before getting these pants. These are definitely a much better product!! Nice relaxed fit, a bit of a surprise coming from the AK line, its usually a much tighter fit. Rode with them in a storm yesterday and they worked like a charm! My only complaint is the lack of webbing/netting on the leg venting. Other than that these pants are great for your kit! I got them in the smoke camo and they go with all of my jackets, a definite bonus. Overall i give these pants 4 out of 5 pow turns, and I would highly recommend them!
