From blizzards in AK to slushy spring pipe sessions, the Burton Men's AK 2L Stagger Jacket's Gore-Tex fabric is guaranteed to keep you dry. When the storm rolls in, cinch the hem, button the waist gaiter, pull up the hood, and ride till your legs give out from too many pow turns. Inside, Burton's ALS lining uses different materials in different places, providing breathability and warmth right where you need it. In warmer weather, unzip the AK 2L Stagger jacket's pitzips and vented chest pockets to create a wind tunnel of cold air as you ride down the mountain. Burton also included a Pass Pocket and pocket key clip for convenience. *Available for US shipment only.

Hey captain rad, you mentioned the size, I have a SW Asym jacket in large, its ok but including spine protection and layering sometimes I wish I had an XL. I also own a Special Blend jacket in XL which is fine. I am thinking of getting the stagger in XL, could that be too big then? I like it quite baggy though.

I tore this jacket out of the package cinched up the drawcord and literally wore it straight out into a snowstorm that consisted of snow, sleet, and rain. It held up amazingly for over five hours of this abuse. While I watched others keep running into the lodge sloshing wet paper towels on their drenched gear, I just stood there and shook the water from me. Well worth the price! amazing performance and fit. On a separate note the jacket runs a tad bigger than most Burton stuff for layering. I'm normally a large in all there stuff and in this jacket I fit easily into a medium.

What can I say about this jacket other than "It's perfect!" It's light, completely waterproof and windproof, warm stylish, has all the pockets you need and looks great on the slopes as well as walking around downtown. Who would have thought you could make denim coated Gore-Tex? It's ingenious! The only downside is that you can't unzip the hood, but I don't think you can with any of Burton's AK range anyways. Overall, this is probably the best jacket I've ever owned.
