Great Jacket and Value

This is a great jacket. My son had a two piece (patagonia shell plus synchilla liner) set up. It was ok, but not skier specific, and not that warm (e.g., around areas like the neck, hood, cuffs). This jacket, on the other hand, is very well designed, warmer but not bulkly (which he wouldn't like), and basically pretty cool. Would be great if it were available in less "darth vader" type look, but he loves it, wears it (skiing and to school (the real test)), and was a very good value relative to more expensive brands.

Burton Apollo Jacket - Never Fall Again!

Got this cool looking jacket for my 10 year son, who loves it and wears it proudly. I can honestly say that since getting this jacket for Christmas, he has not fallen once on his snowboard, and he has not missed any super spectacular flying, flipping, twisting tricks in the terrain part!!!! Not sure if it is fair to attribute this completely to this awesome jacket or the fact that it hasn't yet snowed in Michigan as of 1/10/07 and has been mostly in the 50s. Regardless, not only does the jacket look cool, it appears to be well made and plenty warm with nice features. Now let's put it to the test and snow DAMN IT. A strong recommended BUY!
