Burton Custom X Snowboard
Burton's Custom X Snowboard has all the characteristics of the all-popular Custom with plenty of added performance. With nearly three decades of building experience and new technology, Burton gave the Custom X a precise feel for the sickest terrain. Truly an all-mountain board, the Custom X benefits from a proven Dragonfly wood core, Vaporskin Topsheet, Pro-Tip, and Sintered WFO base. These enhancements reduce the overall weight and hop-up the speed and handling for taking on the steepest gnar or biggest booters. With a directional shape that rules any terrain, this customized Custom excels everywhere from steep lines to huge kickers. *Available for US Shipment Only. *We can't control the color of board you get, but who doesn't like surprises?
Bottom Line: One of the world's most versatile boards just got even better. Ride the Burton Custom X Snowboard and see for yourself.

This board is so amazing in all snow conditions. I have done about half of my season on this board, and it was a champ on pow days, groomer days, and when we were seeking out stuff to huck off of. I love the PDE on this board, makes for fantastic edge to edge control. And for how stiff it is, it really has some nice pop when hitting a kicker. Overall, I was skeptical at first, but now it is one of my favs in the quiver.

Its like walking on water or parting a sea, the Custom X just makes things that shouldn't be possible seem so damn easy!!!
I picked up a 64 Wide after wrecking my old Ride. This was the first time I'd ever spent so much $$ on a board but it damn sure won't be the last if this is what it's like. You can hold insane lines, the base is crazy fast (flats, what flats?) and it's about the most stable board I've ever ridden... I imagine this is what it'd be like if you could make a Cadillac that handled like a Masseratti... and could drive down the face of the gnarliest steeps you can find.

This is one of the sickest boards i've ever ridden. I'm sure most boards these days are pretty wicked, but the custom x is light, snappy, and totally responsive. Maybe not as stiff as you'd want if you charge groomers really hard, but the over-all board feel is great - great in the park, great in powder. I rode a 2004 custom x for 4 seasons, and ended up snapping it doing some stupid air-to-rock-jib type shit, but even by the fourth season the board was snappy and sick and never got 'all noodled out' or dead.
if you've got the $$ to drop on a board, I'd definitely recommend the custom X, you wont regret it.

This board has my back in the hardpack. Edge control is phenomenal! In the pow, I just point it. I love this board, Definitely aggressive. Stiff. Not for a conservative rider.

this board is by far the best for any style of riding. it's a really good all-terrain board. it's good for pow and icy trails, rails boxes, jumps, speed. Best board i ever had. Great pop too, and responsive.

I had the 2004/2005 burton custom X as my first board and pretty much adapted to it. I have recently tested a 2007/2008 demo boards to see if it felt the same, sure isn't. The response on this baby is just amazing. The flex and control is just more overwhelming. I fractured my board fairly bad and will be buying this one. Don't be afraid of the price, it's well worth it and you can become a beginner to pro with this baby.

My compliments to the Burton design team. What an unbelievable board. The Custom X is incredibly responsive, has a perfect flex and snap to it. In fact the more weight you throw on the nose or tail or put into a turn, the more it seems to want. I haven't found that "point of failure" in the flex yet, nor do I want to. It's incredibly stable at high speed no chatter or wash out out on the groomers. In the chop its almost as if it anticipates your next move giving you enough pop to throw you into your next turn. Yet, it's light as hell, my first F/S 3 turned into a 5, there's virtually no swing weight. Then there's the powder....gigity..gigity...you get the point. Do yourself a favor....buy this board it'll make you a better rider.

I bought a Custom X 164 a couple weeks ago and have logged i think 6 days on it so far this season, and there's only one thing to say about it.... domination. This thing rules the mountain-- i'll be at top speed and this thing wants more, not to mention frightening acceleration, great edging, just enough flex, and the steezes that pleezes, the white top sheet with the black graphic inlay looks filthy. Worth every penny.

Although the price is a bit steep, it is worth it. Having spent a couple of season on several mid-tier Burton's, I decided to pony up. Amazing. It was such a great decision but I did have one regret, not getting it sooner. The board is amazing, with excellent feel and responsiveness. In experimenting on different terrains, the board did great. It was good in the pipe, groomers and the trees........so good that I get a bit pissed I didn't upgrade earlier.

The Custom X (152 for me) is my personal favorite of the high end from burton- super explosive and holds a really fast edge, even in crud. For park riding and the ParkCity superpipe, it is by far my favorite thing. I would have killed for this board growing up in NY. East coasters this board is perfect for you, and NOT having it if you are able, well...you should have it.
