Beal Stinger lll Climbing Rope - 9.4 mm
At an amazing 59g/m, the Beal Stinger III is one of the lightest ropes in its class on the market. This rope is designed for serious redpoint attempts or for that extra-long endurance-fest when every ounce matters. Smooth, fast handling and ultra-soft catches characterize the Stinger III Climbing Rope. Beal GoldenDry treatment keeps this line from soaking up water and makes it an ideal candidate for hard ice and mixed routes where a wet rope means not only added weight but more importantly compromised safety.
Bottom Line: For serious climbers with serious goals, use the Stinger III and you won't come down unhappy.

Sure. But if you are new to sport climbing you might consider a thicker rope, like a 10.2 or 10.3 rope for ease of use. A thinner ropes can get away from you a little easier while belaying.
