Big Agnes Yampa Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Down

The rectangular-shaped Big Agnes Yampa 40-Degree Down Sleeping Bag has a large 70in (regular size) shoulder girth, ideal for summer camping when you don't want a tight mummy bag. The Yampa sleeping bag is stuffed with 650-fill goose down and weighs less than two pounds (regular) thanks to its ingenious design. Only the top and sides of the bag are insulated. Under you, where insulation would be compressed and useless, is a rectangular sleeping-pad sleeve that holds your pad in place, so you'll never roll off it while you're sleeping. *Compatible with 20in-wide Big Agnes rectangular pads.

Bottom Line: This summer, make sleeping outdoors more comfortable with the Big Agnes Yampa Down Sleeping Bag.

Simple but nice

Very nice sleeping bag, down is comfortable and not poking out of the seams. Zippers were easy to use and find and were very smooth. Kept us nice and warm down in Moab, Utah on a 40 degree night. The following night it only went down to about 60 degrees and we ended up sleeping on top of the bag with a bivy sac on.

All you could ask from a bag

I already had a Big Agnes REM Air Core pad and decided to go with their bags as well. Used this for 2 weekend trips in the Indian Peaks and the system performed flawlessly. I am a warm sleeper, so my only caution would be to those who are chilly, a slight draft does come into this one as it is lacking a hood. For me though, my temp. was regulated well and the extra room in this bag was a big plus. Packs down well and light enough for my purposes. I would highly recommend!!!

Yampa is one great sleeping bag

I have had down sleeping bags for about 15 years. I usually bike camp and always had problems with ending up on the ground rather than on the ThermaRest. So, Big Agnes came up with a unique idea that fixes the problem. I love this bag. It is warm, easy to set up and take down - you have to slip the ThermaRest into the slot. I would highly recommend this bag.
