Atlas 7075 Series 3-Piece Elektra Trekking Poles - Women's - 2008
Atlas made the Women's 7075 Series 3-Piece Trekking Poles with super lightweight, strong aluminum tubing, so these poles support you and your heavy pack without weighing your arms down. Plus, these poles collapse down so you can easily strap them to the back of your pack when the snowy trail flattens out. The women's-specific ergonomic grips fit your hands and reduce wrist strain. Carbide tips give you traction on steep, icy slopes, and the large snow baskets keep you from post-holing down to your elbows in deep pow.
Bottom Line: Bomber support and compact storage.

My brother bought me these for Christmas, and I'm learning how to use them. Which way should the little rubber "booties" point? And how does one know how to set the length? Should arms be raised or down?

By rubber booties you mean the baskets =) they should be cupped downward to catch the snow, not sure if this is a correct method but an easy and fast way is to flip the poles over wrap hand under the baskets or rubber booties ;)and with arms out and elbows by side adjust poles to a straight even line across.
