Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Jacket - Men's

The Arc'teryx Men's Scorpion Ski Jacket uses Gore-Tex Soft Shell High Loft material to provide the extra breathability you need for charging hard on the mountain. The Scorpion Jacket's waterproof breathable exterior is surprisingly soft, and its lofty fleece liner keeps you toasty on cold January mornings waiting for first chair. Pit zips provide this Arc'teryx jacket with extra ventilation for warmer days, and the Recco reflector provides a little extra measure of safety at the resort.

I bought one of these in January 2007. I have to say that I absolutely loved it, that is until it got stolen. I was absolutely gutted. Being in Europe it's nigh-on impossible to get hold of these. I agree about the lack of pocket space, but then again, I've been less fussed about it. I used the jacket as both an everyday item of clothing (it rains a lot in the UK!) and also for both skiing and as a day jacket for yacht sailing. I've found that it works well in both cold and mild conditions, never really overheating. A great jacket and a shame it got nicked.

Is this a longer jacket than most? I am looking at the Fission too.. I have a Theta AR which I have owned for about 6 yrs... I don't want anything longer.. Thanks...

I have owned this jacket for about 3 months now and find that I really like it for some things and will not wear it for others. It is by no means a versatile jacket. I love the material, super water proof, breathable and LIGHT WEIGHT. The fit is excellent, it is long where it needs to be, and tight where it needs to be. I am not a fan of the pockets, or lack there of. I need a jacket that has at least 4 pockets. It is very good for what it is, but with the amount of features available in jackets these days, this just is not keeping up.
