Arc'teryx Gothic Lightweight Gloves - Unisex

Arc'teryx made their Gothic Lightweight Gloves with itch- and stink-free Merino wool to ensure excellent warmth and comfort. These lightweight gloves are ideal for wearing inside a waterproof shell during nasty weather or alone on bluebird ski days. The Gothic Gloves are just like the old wool gloves you loved—except lighter, more comfortable, and completely itch-free.

Bottom Line: Got wool? Get the Arc'teryx Gothic Lightweight Gloves.

wish they made them mediumweight too

The only downside to these is the fact that arc'teryx have not made any mediumweights. Then I would get through winter all nice and warm.

I love, love, love these gloves

These gloves are not only comfortable, they are super warm! I have typically very cold hands and I wear these gloves under my big mittens in the winter for skiing. They do the trick! I've also worn them in the spring time on the hot days as the only glove. Every person should own these gloves and keep them in their pockets for the cold days. They are light and small and fit in any pocket without being bulgy. They fit very true to size as well.

The liner for cold wet digits.

These beauties are just the thing to compliment my Outdoor Research Vert work gloves. Being soft shell and leather, Vert's tend to wet out quickly. Forget synthetic fleece products, if your fingers are going to be wet, wool's the only ticket. I find this thin wool liner glove ideal in keep the digits warmer when wet. They also fit well under the very low profile Verts. Beware, I had a seam pop right away, perhaps a manufacturing flaw. No problems since.

They don't last as long as I thought!

At first, I was impressed with the fit and comfort of these gloves. HOWEVER... within the first 10 days of using these gloves, it already has a hole in one of the fingertips. After about 10 more days, most of the fingers now have holes. I simply use them as an liner for downhill skiing. I don't use them for anything that would accelerate the wear on the gloves prematurely. I've had other glove liners which have lasted much much longer.

Perfect liner glove!

I use these under some thin softshell gloves for everything from ski touring to ice climbing to cold weather mountain biking. Basically, if my hands are cold in my gloves, I put these on (and they are thin enough to fit under almost other glove) and my hands are never cold anymore. For me, they add 10-15 degrees of comfort.

The construction and fit of these Gothic gloves is pretty solid overall, and they are rather comfy to wear. Unfortunately, the merino wool they are made out of seems to be more prone to snagging than my other merino garments (Icebreaker products) do, and they don't seem as tough as Powerstretch does. I feel as though I am going to tear them apart by accident sooner than later. These gloves are much thinner than I was expecting and are really only suitable for 32+ F days with no wind standalone, or as a liner. On the positive side, they wick and cool the hand amazingly and feel just wonderful to wear. Overall, these are a perfect wicking liner for a shell glove or mitt, with a little less insulation than a Powerstretch liner.

Great fit, comfortable

The cut and fit of the gloves are superb. That being said they are thinner than you may imagine, but for me suited my needs since I use them as an everyday glove and if I am walking down the street my hands are in my pockets anyway, cell phone use is easy. For whatever reason the stitching on the thumb seam for mine split wide open and I'd like to return them, but the shipping seems more than what its worth....won't be buying these again unfortunately.

Great for glove liners

I use the Gothic gloves as a glove liner under my normal ski gloves. For that purpose they are great! They fit my hand well, and the they're actually quite long, covering much more of my wrists than most other thin gloves.

great item, very thin

These gloves are great looking and feeling, but they are very very thin. I will still get a lot of use out of them, just not in the way I anticipated.
