Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan - Men's
The Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan combines the tailored look of wool with the technical performance and comfort of fleece. Polartec Thermal Pro fabric gives you the best of both worlds. The casual style fits right in at the office and the technical fleece material handles the great outdoors with ease. Arc'teryx added gusseted underarms to give you total freedom of movement when you zip into the Covert Cardigan and go, well, wherever. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: The Arc'teryx Covert Cardigan is a technical fleece disguised as a wool sweater.

Must be the logo, 'cause that's all that's going for it. Absolutely no wind protection - just go without a shirt and save the Benjis. I'd recommend this for hardcore spring-fall evenings to the movie theater, poker night, oh and it's a choice piece to loan your girlfriend when she's cold on your couch (cause it is admittedly very soft). Otherwise this fleece has no endearing qualities of any kind at 10,000 feet, or for that matter, sea level with a 1 KPH wind. I expect much better, especially from Arc'teryx. Bottom line...If you are into looking good in the ski haus, you would do fine to pick this up - just don't wear it up the lift with you without a killer layering system to make up for this massive flaw. Other pieces would serve you much better, have I mentioned Icebreaker yet?

I love Arc'teryx but the covert I owned surprised me when I felt like I was in a wind tunnel in typical Seattle weather. I actually rated this sweater down a bit - because I hold Arc'teryx to a higher standard. All those who reviewed this jacket and claim it to be warm were either wearing warm base layers under it, shells over it, or were in calm weather. Michad's review is accurate when he says "wind will cut straight through this sweater" I don't know why he felt it still deserved 5 stars - arc'teryx shouldn't have allowed such a major oversight to pass through their quality assurance dept. I still wear my covert... while drinking my fav brew, poker night, movie theater, etc... Generally, I'd recommend Arc'teryx but in this case I say take a pass - unless you just want to LOOK hardcore.

This is an amazing sweater, it's really warm and feels great inside and out. I found that mine stretched and stayed stretched so now it is too big to wear for layering. Also wind will cut straight through this sweater, but besides that I love it.

If it didn't have the Arc'teryx label nobody would care about this sweater.I bought it on sale and anybody who thinks this is worth retail simply has too much money to spend. The black one that I bought is a LINT MAGNET.Its TERRIBLE to be walking around with all that lint, so don't buy black no matter how much you want to. The fabric also is fraying in one spot and I've only washed it once and according to their instructions. You can get a cashmere sweater for the same price. Why buy this synthetic. I made a huge mistake buying this. Its just a cheap polyester sweater- period.

it's expensive, no doubt. the fit is very good, but at the shoulders it's too loose. it also does look great and feels great...but for that price, all you get is a sweater. it's definitely not a jacket. another minor point is that the zipper is on the right side instead of of the left side. but i just feel so great in it, so i kept it :)

This is an understated jacket that screams comfort. Friends that see it think it's made of cashmere! Polartec material and tapered fit provides loads of warmth with good breathability suitable as a stand-alone for active winter activities or alongside a hardshell for more serious endeavors. With Arc Teryx's superb craftsmanship, I'm looking forward to many years of frequent use.

As with all Arc'teryx gear, this is a great product. It is very comfortable and has some nice lined pockets with the zippers. Is great on its own and great as a liner under a heavy jacket.

It's a nice jacket; versatile, able to wear for active as well as casual activities, looks real stylish, trim fit, etc. It's taken awhile to warm up to Arc'teryx in general; at first glance their prices seem way out vs. comparable gear/apparel. Quality is there, though; some of those extra dollars go toward better materials, better workmanship, and so forth. You can get a fleece jacket for a lot less money that's perfectly functional, though, so decide if the extra $$ are worth it for the label and a difference in quality that is subtle enough to be lost on less discriminating people.

Blue Berry is a deep jewel or summer night blue, different than navy, but not too dark or too light. This fleece is sharp enough for the CS office, but tough enough for the slopes.

This is a great jacket. Great fit. Very well made. These types of fleece jackets tend to feel baggy on me but not the Covert Cardigan. I plan on getting others in different colors.

Great coat/sweater. Very expensive but well worth every penny. Looks razor sharp for work with khaki's or jeans. Has the durability to be worn outdoors for whatever you have to throw at it. I have spent a comparable amount on some zip up sweaters that stretch and are ruined after a few wears. This looks better, (best fit you can get) and you know with the Arc’teryx name it will last forever!

This jacket lives up to the Arcteryx reputation. It is very warm, though not entirely windproof, which is not a big deal, since you are wearing it over other layers. It looks great and feels very light. The fabric will sometimes get a few pills if it is rubbed against a rough surface for extended times, i.e. a rough backpack. This isn’t a big deal because they will go away. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is a great looking sweater/jacket. I wear it to work and around town all the time. Good in the 40-60 degree range, although you probably don't want to stand around too long below 40. Wind comes right though it, there is absolutely no wind resistance. Great trim fit, I love the cut. Initially I didn’t like the pockets, two hand pockets open into a mesh area that runs the full torso length at the front of the jacket, but now I do find it handy. I can fit large thin items such as a folded map in. It is getting some slight pilling along the underside of lower sleeves, but no big deal. Arc'Teryx is expensive but real nice.

Arc’teryx quality is evident in the Covert Cardigan. Very nice, warm piece of casual clothing. Received lots of compliments and have even worn it on casual Fridays to work. Have many products from Arc’teryx and have never been disappointed. Great service from backcountry although shipping cost to Canada is a little pricey.
