Arc'teryx Fugitive Hooded Jacket - Men's
The Arc'teryx Fugitive Hoody puts you under cover. Wild nights in the village may bring the need for a low-profile the following day. A generous hood conceals your identity and large pockets bury any contraband that may have found its way onto your person. The Fugitive's rugged exterior repels weather and escapes the pitfalls of your every-day fleece. No one can touch the quality design and construction that Arc'teryx sews into every piece. Proven fabric joins forces with alpine intuition for a hoody that is fast on its feet. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: Go unnoticed.

This is a good sweater - and it is just that, a light zip-up hoody. The price however makes this "jacket" ridiculous. The construction, material, properties etc. are all top notch, but not hundreds of dollars top notch. I love the wicking abilities, but again there is nothing that makes this seem above and beyond any other synthetic material "jacket" at a fraction of the price. If you buy this sweater, you have too much money to blow - take up gambling.

I like outdoor clothing that is both functional and great looking - so you can wear it for a hike and then out at night in town. That's why I paid so much for this jacket. But here's a strange thing - the two front pockets are made out of mesh, so they offer no protection from the wind and cold that come up from the bottom (and there is no waist cinch to tighten it up around your waist) So the wind and cold comes up from the bottom and your hands freeze! It is really annoying not to be able to put your hands in your pockets to warm them up. I find this a very strange oversight by the designers, and it bothers me every time i wear the jacket, so I find I haven't been wearing it as much as my normal cotton hoodies, which keep my hands warmer. Too bad.

it's comfy as anything and pretty much the only jacket you will want to wear if the weather is between 22 and 68 raining, snowing or sunny. the only problem is that it looks a lot like a wet suit and people will be like, "are you wearing a wet suit?"

I needed something light yet warm that could be used in the spring and fall or cooler evenings. I had tried the Arc'teryx Covert hoody, but found it very disappointing for the money - severely lacking any real weather protection especially when it came to wind. The Fugitive is a full zip, hooded version of the Tau pullover. I own the Tau as well, but love the Fugitive for its versatility. The Polartec Windpro keeps gives reasonable wind and water protection and the fleece inner is buttery soft and ultra comfortable. It could have used another pocket somewhere, otherwise it's awesome. If you're thinking of buying the Covert, spend the few extra bucks and move up to the Fugitive - much better bang for your buck.

I purchased this hoody primarily for urban use. It has met expectations.
It will keep you dry in light rains. Will block light winds. Is not bulky. Thinness surprised me (can easily be used as a baselayer). Provides all the warmth I desire. Looks cool.
I purchased the Men's Large Pomegranate. The picture did not exactly matched what I received. There is no black line running the length of the zipper. My hoody is completely red in the chest area. The area around the pockets is black, this is not shown clearly in the picture. I am a medium in most things, including Arcteryx short sleeve shirts and Arcteryx jackets; however, I am a large in the Fugitive Hoody.

Think of this hoody as a Gamma MX Hoody that you can wear around town without looking like a tool. This hoody is expensive, but it puts all other hoodies in the museum.
What I like is the great cut, stretch, superb hood, chin protection, nice hand pockets and the cuffs and waist band seal out the weather really well. You will not find another hoody with such excellent details. The Polartec material is warm and soft on the inside and sheds light winds and drizzle on the outside, but a heavy weight winter fleece this is not. I wore this jacket touring around Europe this Fall and it keep me sufficiently warm; it worked brilliantly well with the Beta SL jacket when the weather was very windy and wet. Yep, I love my Fugitive.
