Arc'teryx Delta SV Fleece Jacket - Men's
Frigid temps mean nothing to a Wookiee. If you want to know what Chewbacca feels like in cold weather, zip up the Arc'teryx Men's Delta SV Fleece Jacket. Polartec Thermal Pro fleece has a high warmth-to-weight ratio, breathes well, dries quickly… and feels like fur—probably much softer than a Wookiee's at that. The full front zip has a chin guard to prevent scraping, and the gusseted underarms keep the jacket in place. Since the Delta SV Fleece Jacket includes an antimicrobial coating, you won't smell like a garbage chute if you wear it every day.
Bottom Line: It's not wise to upset a Wookiee.

Wow! Everything you have heard about this jacket is true. It is light feeling, extremely comfortable, and keeps you warmer than you can imagine. It also breathes well, drys out fast, and looks good on. Everyone should have at least one. It is worth every penny, but you will need a lot of them to buy it.

For wearing around the house or the office this fleece is WAY too warm! I totally roast in it. But when the temps hit 0 to -20 you're really happy to have it. You'll probably never find a warmer fleece.
It's sorta annoying that the fleece has so little windproof-ness. You can be burning up in this fleece and walk outside only freeze in like 20 seconds. I guess i'm saying this fleece is a mid-layer only!
As far as the fit it's perfect. I have a medium Gamma SV so i ordered a medium Delta SV and the fit was exactly as expected.
In terms of quality, it's a really well built item. My only compliant, albeit very minor, was/is the draw strings in the pockets were way way too long so when you tightened them they would be really long and hanging out of your pockets or you have tons of bunched up cord. This makes it difficult to get things out of your pockets.
bottom line: SUPER warm mid-layer fleece for subzero temps only.

This is a very nice fleece. Fits well, lightweight, packable, and warm. However, for the price, they should've had some windproofing. I ended up returning this and getting a Patagonia R3 fleece, which has the same qualities, but blocks some wind.

I like the jacket, its really warm if your going to be in super cold conditions. I will not use this as a mid-layer for touring its just to heavy. I will use it for resort skiing in sub-zero conditions.
The fit is not what I have come to expect from Arc. This season I ordered the Delta SV and the Sniper both size L. The Sniper fits me so well and the Delta SV just doesn't fit as well. It feels like the arms are to long and its a little to tight around the torso.

Purchased as a closeout special here, I got a heck of a deal. As with most of my purchases at your site, I purchase the best product I can afford and care much more about function than style.
You are not going to find a warmer fleece layer. I use this much more than any other fleece I own during the cold MN ski sessions. However, it my be too much for warmer climates. As with other reviews, this jacket should have included pit zips.

Don't get me wrong, this jacket is really nice, but I had to give it a 4 out of 5 ranking because of the value. $$$ is a lot to spend for an insulation layer. This is definitely not windproof as mentioned before. I wear it inside the house sometimes on a cold day to get that nice toasty warm feeling. It is a great jacket to combine with a good windproof shell.

This is a very warm bit of fleece insulation. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a frigid weather jacket, though. As it is highly "breathable", it is the reverse of windproof. Its general use is for layering under a windproof shell when its very cold, subtracting layers when it warms some.

I wouldn't call this a 'jacket' so much as I would call it a layer. I bought the layer with a specific use in mind, cold weather over a wool baselayer and under a windproof/waterproof shell...in this use this thing ROCKS! Keeps me very warm. For stand alone 'jacket' use, the Delta SV isn't really suited for much...in any wind it will not keep the heat in. I would really like the see the material on the outside of the neck used for the entire jacket for some wind protection, then I would wear this everyday. Although I love Arc'Teryx gear I don't believe the Delta SV is worth $200... BTW, I am 5'10' & 175lbs Large fits me perfect, keep that in mind for sizing!

Great fleece, really warm and light. Not too windproof, but still fine with just a t-shirt in 30F.

I ordered this because I needed a new insulation layer for my jacket for the winter. Overall I’m impressed with the fabric which keeps me very warm. It is extremely light compared to my North Face Denali. This jacket is not suggested to wear alone for windy days. Did I mention the fur on this jacket feels awesome on your skin?

This Delta SV jacket is going to keep you warm. There is no doubt that you can easily overheat with a fleece like this when layering for snow sport activities. The fabric and construction is nothing but superb Arcteryx technology employed to meet the highest standards in outdoor wear. The fit is unmatched, gusseted underarms allow this jacket to move with you not against you. The plush fabric makes for a conversation starter with any person of the opposite sex who knows snow sports and quality outdoor wear.
Enjoy

The Arc'teryx Delta SV jacket is what you need for cold weather insulation under an impervious shell. Thick and furry, it is both comfortable and well tailored. The materials and workmanship are impeccable. Just what we've all come to expect from Arc'teryx.

It's the first piece of polartec clothing that I've ever had, was lucky enough to get it for christmas ... in boston weather I go out in winter with a t-shirt on underneath and am real comfortable, strong wind'll of course get thru, but it's relatively windproof. Just incredible warmth, feels so amazing on your skin, zipper-guard near your chin is a really nice attribute, big pockets. I'm a big fleece fan in general, but this one beats'em all by far.

Pros: Good snug, proper fit all around. Very warm.
Cons: Personally, I would have preferred one internal chest pocket and pit zips, instead of it's three external pockets.
