Arc'teryx Diplomat ST Jacket - Unisex

The Arc'Teryx Diplomat Jacket blends wool, fleece, and Gore WindStopper into a piece that's made to stay warm during low output outdoor activities like walking through the village or attending slopeside wine and cheese parties. This sophisticated jacket incorporates old world styling with high tech weather resistance. Signature touches like a laminated chin guard and Arc'teryx's innovative molded zipper garages ensure that this Diplomat can weather any a storm on any continent. The tailored quality that you've come to expect from Arc'Teryx is sewn up in Italian wool and WindStopper fleece. A full size run suits men and women equally well. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Perfect for sauntering at Sundance or schussing back to the Chalet, the Diplomat provides immunity from the run-of-the-mill ski-town jacket.

Unusually poor fit for an Arc'teryx

By:

I bought this jacket expecting to have found a high-quality, form fitting, wind-proof wool jacket to wear around the city on cold windy days. I was extremely disappointed by the bulky "ruck sack" type fit of the jacket. The jacket has enormous 8" zip pocket openings on the sides that cause the jacket to bulge out at the top terminus of the zipper track (around mid torso). That puffiness along with the looseness of the jacket through the arms (who has 8" diameter biceps?) makes this a disappointing buy. Oh, and it's also made in China. Who charges $400 for a jacket made in China?

awesome jacket

Oh so warm! One of the coolest jackets I have. Don’t machine wash it, unless you have like a wool machine wash option on your washing machine, then I hear they turn out fine, otherwise you're supposed to dry clean it. It's not water resistant, so you have to bust out your rain shell if it starts pouring. It’s quite stylish.

Absolutely Worth The $$$

I bought this to replace a very similar, though now obsolete North Face coat that was showing worse for wear. As soon as my wife, who is a fashion horse, saw it, she immediately wanted one for her own. So this coat is indeed unisex. The materials, construction, fit, feel and look are all superb.

Love the Jacket

My husband bought a Diplomat ST Jacket several years ago, and I liked it so much on him that I wanted one for myself. It is fabulous: warm, comfortable, handsome. Thank you.

Expect the Unexpected

By:

I was not expecting the world's most rugged jacket when I placed my order. But was extremely surprised at just how well this jacket performed. Although it’s extremely lightweight, it stops every harsh blow of wind, and does a surprising job blocking rain. This is surprising considering its wool-ish exterior, not to mention this jacket is so stylish that I've been complemented each time I wear it.

Diplomatic Problems

The sharp metal zipper was a step below Arc'teryx's usual quality; the zipper soon snagged at the base. The collar was bulging on one side and didn't sit right. Cannot recommend this product--though generally I love Arc'teryx gear.
