Adventure Medical Ben's Deet 30 Tick & Insect Repellent - 2007
Ben's 30 Tick & Insect Repellent is your best defense against potentially lethal bug bites. Each year more and more individuals are infected with Lyme disease, West Nile Virus, and other deadly effects of infected insects. This water based repellent uses powerful DEET to protect you from dangerous bugs. DEET has been proven safe, when used as directed, and is the most powerful insect repellent available. Ben's formula is alcohol and propellant free to deliver the highest concentration of repellent without environmentally hazardous fluorocarbons. Use Ben's easy to apply insect repellents to keep you, and your family, safe when heading outdoors this year.
Bottom Line: Bite back.

It's DEET--what else needs to be said

Nothing works like deet. The others may work but if you want lasting protection (more than 20 minutes) use deet. I like the spray bottle since it makes it a snap to reapply after about 2 hours
No bites

This bug spray is a pump, not aerosol, which is nice, but unfortunately it doesn't cover well. It feels like a lotion, which my family did not like. But we did not get bitten, so that's a plus.
Worked well on my trip!

I used this when I was on a boat in Egypt and on questionable bedding at some of the places I stayed at. It's great if you want a thin, comfortable sheet, which is exactly what I was looking for. But it doesn't keep you very warm during chilly evenings.

Worked well on my trip to Egypt! Slept overnight on the Nile where there were lots of mosquitoes, and I came out unscathed!
Great against skeeters

I didnt have a chance to evaluate it against ticks. Worked great against mosquitoes for about three or four hours after application; was poor to moderate against flies.
Worked great, re-apply often

We used this product on a recent trip to Peru. The strength of the DEET was about right for our location (lots of mossies), but it sweats off pretty quickly during warm weather/high activity. You have to re-apply often.
