I have on older pair of crispis that i love but the duck bill...

I have on older pair of crispis that i love but the duck bill part of the boot doesnt seem to fit. There is a lot of play in most bindings. When i compared the boot with other boots i noticed that the duck bill was thinner. Do the new boots still have the thin bill or are they thicker to fit the modern binding? thanks
