Great bindings. Easy to use and perfect for most backcountry ski situations. Easy open and close even with a gloved hand. When stopped with boots off the bindings, ice did accumulate in the spot where the bar goes. Was easy to clean out with just about anything, key, small branch, tip of ski pole etc. Great performing binding. Good control on downhill turns.
Can these bindings go on the Alpina Woody ski?

I'm new at xcountry skiing. Been out several times in the backcountry this season and bindings worked just fine. They held up well to some unanticipated pressure points and never detached from skiis.

Write your question here...I wanted to put my bindings on a different pair of skis and don't still have the mounting template. Is there a way to describe where it should go?

Your best bet is probably to just go into a local nordic ski shop and get them to mount the bindings. Alternatively, Rottefella (the manufacturer) may be able to supply a duplicate mounting template if you contact them & request one.

Although I have snowshoed for many years this is my first experience at cross country skiing. I think these bindings work very well, easy to close & open with gloves and considering the amount of times I ended up skiing on my "wallet" they kept the skis attached to my boots. This may not be good when alpine skiing but at the slow speeds of cross country it was great, I did not have to chase after my skis.
Thanks to the staff for their
help.

Backcountry Bindings Review

I have purchased these bindings for my Rossignol BC 190cm skis and am impressed with their ease of use, mounting template, and sturdy design. They hold my Alpina backcountry boots without worries about alignment on the skis. I have been used to Salomon racing boots and bindings, but am impressed with the range of motion of the bindings even with reasonably stiff boots. Thrashing through the rough stuff in northern Michigan with this combination actually feels fun, even with sharp turns and stepping and twisting over deadfall and rounding moderately steep hills where edge control keeps my expensive outerwear and my priceless braincase intact while I duck branches and hop out of snowmachine tracks.
