ALPS Mountaineering Navajo Sleeping Bag: 20F Degree Down

As ALPS Mountaineering's lightest and most compressible mummy bag, the Navajo 20F Sleeping Bag won't let you down on the trail … Damn it. You'd think that we could make it through at least one description without using a pun. But no: we just had to work in ‘down.' You see: this mummy bag keeps you toasty with 650-loft goose down. Hence our horrible pun. Oh well … Throw in a slant baffle construction that prevents insulation migration and a contoured hood which locks in heat, and you get a mummy bag that has your back from spring through fall. Alps Mountaineering gave the Navajo Sleeping Bag a self-repairing #8 YKK zipper so you can connect it to other bags and used ripstop nylon on the shell for durability.

Bottom Line: You down with a lightweight & compressible mummy bag?

Great Bag... Great Price!

This sleeping bag was exactly what I was looking for. Warm, light, packs down small... On our backpacking trip in Glacier National Park, for the first time I had a warm night's sleep, while my boyfriend who had a 15 degree down bag complained of being cold! It will definitely be my go-to sleeping bag from now on. A couple notes - it does have a draft collar (although the specs say it doesn't), and may run a little short if you tighten the hood.

Good Bag, Good Price

By:

I bought this bag hoping that it would be great for chilly weather camping but light enough to use for mountain camping in the spring/summer. It did not disapoint. It is very light, with great fill that help up great. I would recomend this bag for someone wanting a nice down bag without wanting to pay a fortune. It is a nice bag at a good price.
