So light!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great for boiling water, great for backpacking. I've cooked soup in it, boiled water, taken it everywhere with me. Its sooooooooooo light!! Totally worth it for serious backpacking. It seems very durable, I've had no problems with anything yet despite numerous backpacking trips. This is a great buy.

Good Stuff

I was looking for a single pot to do all my boiling and cooking. For the solo, lightweight backpacker it is great.

Poor bindings of handles

Thin, light, low cost. I'm waiting when handles will be broken.

SUL

Perfect for solo hikes, might be a little too small for two people but it works well for one. Oh, did I mention that it was super ultra light?

Perfect for One

Love this pot. I don't go on any hike of any distance without it. This pot plus the Jetboil equals a perfect combo for soup, pasta, or just about any one serving meal. I wish they would get them back in stock so I could buy a few more for other family members though.

Perfect for solo camping!

I initial picked this up because the price was too good to beat.

I've kept the pot in my pack since then because the pot is too good to beat!

Great size if you're cooking for one, or if you get creative you can fit enough food for two in it as well. Durable and lightweight, with a handy included carry sack, hopefully Stoic brings this one back.

I love this TI pot and bought a few when they where on sale. I have been using them since it was under the backcountry.com brand and it's the perfect size for my needs.. I have a lot of other TI pots that cost a lot more than these but they just collect dust. Don't buy one, "buy two".

The first thing we did once we got this kettle was to head back to the shop to anodize it, drink scotch and smoke cigars. PS, it makes a great scotch mug.

Great Nesting Cut

Great cup for the value. It is a clone of a snow peak 700, but HALF THE PRICE! It fits my SS Wide Mouth Water Bottle perfectly. I bought 2 and use them all the time. I use the mesh bag to put the lid in the bottom then cinch it to the water bottle and cup. And I can fit my grill top inside the cup and fire stove ring around the bottle and it snugs up everything very nice.

Anyone know if you can get the lid...

Anyone know if you can get the lid separately? I lost mine and while cheap would prefer to just get exactly what I need rather than build my collection lol.
Also is this the same dimensions as the old Backcountry 700ml?
Thanks!!

Another brand retails for 3X as much!

The MSR titanium teakettle is 850ml and sells for $60. The Stoic teakettle is a steal! My MSR fuel canisters fit in it. I take a small pot and this when I backpack solo... if there are two of us, I take 2 small pots and this. It works great as a mug or a 2nd container. The handles are smartly ergonomically designed so you don't drop it and the strainer lide is awesome. For less than $20 you can't beat it!

Stoic Titanium 700 vs GSI Minimalist

That was a nice test. But one thing, the Stoic is now almost universally sod for $19.95. At that price, it is a real deal. The weight is lighter, the built in handles are impossible to lose unlike the gripper and the stuff sack keeps the lid on when you put two fuel canisters in the 700ml pot or you can put a 450ml Ti mug inside instead. I use mine for custom hearty soups in place of just dehydrated meals. I love it and once again, the price has come down significantly. Buy one or two if you want to be pleased.

Best Bargain on Backcountry.com !

Compared to my Snowpeak 600 mug, it's a little taller and has a great lid. The gage actually is thinner Ti and is only marginally heavier, but that's because it has a little more volume. Lid fits well, but not perfect, and comes with a nice 'padded' mesh bag. OUTSTANDING deal. I bought two of them, you should too. Going to make a coupel Reflextix coozies for them. Only things that could use improvement would be a few more drain holes (drains a little too slowly) and I like the little lid handle, but I don't think it will survive for too long before bending badly.
