good socks

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

these are good socks in my opinion. The ergonomic design of having a left and right foot makes a difference in fit and performance when I run. Good deal with the 4 pack too. Go for the merino socks if you want an upgrade from these.

Many flaws

I was very disappointed with these socks. They have many flaws.

First, the socks are designed and labeled for left and right feet. I found this to be a major annoyance. I have to keep track of pairs and make sure to put the right sock on the right foot. No other sock makers do this, it is not necessary.

Second, I found the nylon material to generally suck at wicking moisture away from my feet. I wore these with my dayhikers and my feet felt clammy and slimy after just an hour of hiking.

Third, the cuff on these socks gape so much that dirt has a funnel to get inside the sock. I have never had a problem with dirt inside my socks before.

I would not recommend these socks to anyone.

My wife says I have a stoic addiction

Just got them out of the box and wanted to put a sizing comment out there because I was a little worried with sizing like m/l and l/xl. To me that is a little to relative. I wear a size 12 shoe in just about everything. If the toebox is big I can get away with an 11.5. That being said I ordered theses in a M/L and I really like the fit. The little down scoops on the ankle go just under my ankle-bally thingy(technical term). The azure is a touch darker than what's pictured, but I would still call it light-to-baby blue. Hope this helps with your sizing.

So I've been wearing these pretty much daily since July. I love them. So far they are holding up great. I wash them after every use and then air dry(the wife has slipped them in the dryer a few times and I haven't seen any ill effects). I'm glad I ordered the m/l because the way they hug my feet. Now if I could just get my wife to stop giving me dirty looks every time she sees another steep and cheap box arrive.

though they aren't the best socks you can buy they are comfortable and breathe well. In a couple other reviews I noticed people were concerned with the fit and I would agree at first they aren't perfect, but once you wash them a few times they get much better. this sure beats washing them a few times and not having them fit at all. I'll probably load up a couple more sets and feel good about my sock collection for a few years.

        Cool Sock - Weird Sizing

I purchased some of the Stoic Merino running socks and really liked them. I bought these ones in a M/L size based on the sizing chart (I wear a 9.5) and have to agree with the 'Not my favorite' review that the sizing was a little off. I returned them and I'm waiting on a pair of the S/M. Other the the sizing, the material seems pretty good and the ergonomic design is really cool.
