Description

An ankle-height performance sock that's made to reach summits.

Breathable to no end and padded where it counts, the Stoic Synth Trail Crew Sock treats your feet right over miles of trail whether you're running, hiking, or backpacking. Full synthetic construction means that air can flow freely through this sock, moving sweaty moisture and hot air away from your skin. A touch of spandex gives the Synth Sock just the right amount of flex so it stretches around your foot comfortably and then stays in place as you thrive in the wild.

  • A mesh panel on the top of the sock helps sweaty moisture and heat vent away
  • from your foot
  • Terry grid padding is zone-mapped to help cushion your foot when rocky trails get
  • rough
  • Durable construction at the ankle collar and through the body of the Synth sock
  • means you can rack up the mileage without replacing your socks every two weeks

Very Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 6' 0"
    Weight: 220 lbs

I've worn these for mountain biking and hiking. They are so much better than cotton socks but are not nearly as expensive as similar socks. I ended up buying a few more pairs.

Good not great

This sock is nice and comfortable but the marino socks from Stoic are incredible. They do a much better job of staying dry in comparison to the synthetic.

My absolute favorite socks ever

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

They fit like a glove, they are the perfect height, they are comfortable, they are nice colors, and they are generally the best sock ever! I like the little bit of extra thickness they give me that is more than my running socks, but they are not too thick like my hiking socks. Still, they work for both running and hiking. Perfect socks for a wide range of temperatures. I'm sad they're out of my size!

Best socks I own

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I wanted some inexpensive wicking socks so I thought I would give these a try. They are the most comfortable socks I own summer and well into fall. Always dry, warm and cool weather they have been great. They were a bit short one really cold day, but they can't be everything.

Awsome

These are some thin trail socks but they breath well and the fitted form makes my feet feel great! Started wearing these around town, they fit so well. And they look pretty snazzy too

Great sock.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

They are comfortable, breathe well, and warm enough for my feet.

Nice socks and surprisingly low price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I got it at a discounted price, was getting it because I am still few dollar short for free shipping.

Surprisingly they fit well! For a pair of socks less than $5 it give the cushion I need, and dry pretty fast like DryMax does. I used it for a few trail run and I am very happy with the purchase.

The only downside for some people maybe it is a bit too thin, but that also make my feel cooler.

Stoic for my Feet Too!!?

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Really like these socks, they are comfortable, breathe/dry nicely, and fit well. They come up over my ankles so they go well with hiking boots. Not a ton of padding, but plenty for me. I like the synthetic version much better than the merino version because the synthetic version stretches better. I found that the merino version has no stretch to them so I was always having to peel them on/off; what a pain! Also the merino wool does fall out sooner than the synthetic version, so after repeated washing's the synthetic version will have less "skin" showing through when being worn.

Perfect Sock!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The thickness of this sock is perfect. The bottom is slightly padded for comfort. Have used these for hiking and running and both had excelled my expectations breathes great and wicks away moisture to keep the feet dry. Washed them several times and have held up great in the washer and dryer. I'm a true size 9 and the M/L fit perfect.

How do these perform as running socks?

Hey Chris,
I bought several pair of these a while back just for running. I think they are great and they are holding up well. I abuse them pretty bad. Stoic also makes a Merino trail crew that is slightly heavier, but I like the synth better. It's not a "cushy" sock, but for me that's fine.

You can't beat these socks for the price. They keep my feet dry without overheating. A little stiff at first, but they get softer after the first wear.

Good hiking socks

Good quality hiking sock. The material is very breathable does a good job controlling moisture.

Favorite socks

I love these. Nice fit so they aren't lose on your feet. The breath really well yet keep your feet warm when the temps drop. I wear them casually, hiking, and they even make my snowboard boots more comfortable (under a long pair of socks)

Hole.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Socks are good so far, except that I got a hole in the top at the edge of a seam after only a month of having them.

L and R are hard to find!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

I gave these as a gift to my Aunt who runs for Christmas. She also happens to love socks...which is a wonderful coincidence! She told me she loved the left and right foot specifics. Said they were hard to find where she is but they are the best kind!

My Go-To Hiking sock!

  • Fit: True to size

These socks are the sh*t! I wear these during spring to fall hiking. They have excellent cushioning in all the right spots & breath perfectly. They hold up really well also. Not one complaint...

Believe the reviews

I have been looking for a decent pair of reasonably priced socks since the quality of ex-favorite sock declined. Tried these out based on the reviews and have come back to order more. These really hold up well to running and hiking. They are fairly thin but provide more padding than expected and their breathability is noticeably good. Super comfortable. If find the L/R fitting a bit unnecessary as no matter what foot I put the sock on it feels great. The labeling on the sizing is kind of odd in that they come in S/M, M/L, L/XL. I always take a L in socks (11.5 shoe size) and in this brand the M/L is good but right on the borderline. HIGHLY recommended!
