Would have loved these except for the waist/hip proportion issue. Just no way to make them work - maybe if you are pregnant? Nice fabric and details but definitely not a women's fit. Bummer.

I love Stoic tops, but their pant sizing needs some help. I am solidly in the "Small" size range (27" waist, 37" hip), but these pants were tight through the thighs, hips, & crotch and baggy in the waist. They are also long, but I'm only 5'3" so that isn't unexpected for me. I loved the pants, but the sizing is so odd that I won't be able to wear them and will have to send them back.

The fabric is great. Black is very black. The Dark Forest is a really cute dark green. Smooth and super stretchy. The length is a solid 32", maybe a bit longer. The three (not five... no front hand pockets) pockets are purely ornamental... too small for a cell phone, barely shove a power gel into them. The styling is sleek enough that you can wear them as casual pants, they don't look like hiking pants.

I have 30" waist, 39" hip, 32" inseam. I tried the large first... the waist was way too big for me. So I tried the medium... way too snug for me in waist and hip (fine from mid-thigh down). I'd call the large a size 12, and the medium an 8. Guess who needs a 10? Sadly returning them.

Extremely important note about the pockets! I need functional pockets!

forget buying carharts for your rugged outdoor work, just buy these. Rip resistant fabric that takes a beating make these my go to work pants. Sluff off water, and dirt, hair , and snow, and they have some forgiving stretch to them as well. I am 5'5 @ 122lbs, and i bought the Medium - they fit perfect in hip and thigh, however, they are bit long in the leg - but i got over that quickly.

What is the rise on these pants? They look kind of high-waisted in the photo. Thanks.

it's about an 9 inch rise - which hits right below my bellybutton.
