Nice shell

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

After reading all the reviews for this I decided to get it. The color is beautiful, fit is great. The only thing is if your wear something on top of it it pills terribly so keep that in mind. Other than that it is a great piece.

Fit is not as expected, but it is nice

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

I ordered an XL to give to my mom for christmas, but it is way too narrow in the hips to fit her. However, the shoulder and bust have tons of room. I normally wear between a medium and large (probably closer to a large at the current moment), and after trying it on, decided to keep this jacket for myself. The hips fit me snugly (not tight), and the shoulders allow for tons of range of movement. My normal complaint is that the shoulders are too tight in all women's clothes. (I am a rock climber, and have big shoulders. This shirt will be AWESOME for rock and ice climbing.) So fit advice: this shirt seems to be made for narrow hips and wide shoulders. Size up if you have big hips. The shoulders and bust have ample room, so if you have really narrow shoulders it may feel a bit baggy, but I think they are perfect for climbing.

From California

  • Fit:Runs large

I just got this soft-shell but had no chance to try it. Like the design, color. I am between S and M, got M but its little too big, I am not sure, if I will be putting layers under for skiing. Its stretchy material as well. I like it a lot.

great fabric to resist water

I really had a hard time deciding to keep or return this product. It is such a fabulous water repellent shirt that breathes & is soft inside. It is "rubbery" almost "rubber band" ish. If you kayak or sail, you will LOVE THIS SHIRT. I don't get to do enough of those types of water sports {I wish I did} to justify keeping it (it would sit too much in my drawer) yet I would highly recommend this shirt to those who do those activities. It is a work of art in the fabric industry & a "one of a kind". Kudos to whoever came up with this product.

    great fabric to resist water

    the perfect rowing layer

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

As a rower in Maine, it is crucial that I have a layer that keeps me from getting soaked through while staying highly breathable through intense workouts. Water literally rolls off this top, and the longer length in the back is perfect for sitting in a boat. I recommended this layer to my entire boat, and it has been passed around, borrowed, and envied, ever since!

Is this a fabric that retains sweaty smells?...

Is this a fabric that retains sweaty smells? I bought a similar Raab shell (with a hood) and the damned thing reeks almost immediately after the first drop of sweat hits the armpits!
