Here's what others have to say...

Exceeded Expectations

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these to replace my old running socks. I really liked the old ones, and when I took the Stoic socks out of the box, I thought for sure they were going to be too thick. However, they are so nice. I have bought a lot of socks in my life, and these are wonderful. I wear them every day. No blisters or rubbing when I run. Highly recommended.

Blister free

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I run a lot. In a month since purchasing these socks, I've logged over 120 miles of coastal desert trails. Not a single blister. Great fit and highly durable. I will be buying more of these in the near future.

weird ankle

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Thin on the top, twice as thick on the bottom. They are comfortable? But I don't like how they look around the ankle.

Good fit, quality product.

They do the job that needs done. Moisture wicking and keeps the stink out which you will get out of any merino sock. Great fit, but not a whole lot of stretch so check out the size chart and stick to it. Good cushion on the bottom but still light on top so you won't overheat. After I would say a "normal" amount of abuse they don't seem to have any quality issues with the build.

Awesome socks

These socks are super soft, very breathable and really comfortable. So far, they have proven to be very durable as well. Will definitely be buying more!

Great multi-sport socks

I love these socks for trail running/ mountain biking/ hiking, and the office (when I have to...). I would call them a mid-weight sock for most of these activities - they're nicely padded, but not super light. If you're looking for a super lightweight sock with minimal padding, you might want to look elsewhere. As with anything merino, they're great at wicking and keep your shoes from turning into a slip and slide. I've got size 15 feet, and the L/XL fit great (which is RARE for me). However, this might make the L/XL run a bit large for those with more human-sized feet

great and light

I bought these for all around use, biking, running, working and they have met my expectations on these. I liked the green and white a lot.

Poor Quality

Do not buy these socks. I poked through the toe after a 7-8 mile hike and overall they looked extremely worn after one use. They are not significantly cheaper than comparable SmartWools to justify the lower quality. My SmartWools have been through the gauntlet the past 18 months and are still is good shape.

Decent Socks

This socks hold up pretty well. I have bought Stoic socks in the past and always go with the L/XL. This time around they were a tad on the big side but still a good product.

Great!

Awesome socks! So far seem to be super durable and comfortable. I am a size 9 shoe and the Mediums fit me great. For the price you can go wrong for a wool sock.

Great socks

These socks are great. They wick moisture away, have a great padded feel and fit great. I'm a size 9.5 and went with L/XL. I could have maybe gone down a size, but overall I am pleased with the fit of the size I have.

Great if they fit

These are super comfy and have a medium/light padding on the bottom.

I ordered two colors, "Black/ Gray/ Azure" and "Gray/ Silver/ Burnt", both in M/L and I usually wear a size 11. The Black/ Gray/ Azure fit perfect and I love them. The Gray/ Silver/ Burnt I can hardly get on my feet. The package shows the correct size but I'm pretty sure they're mislabeled, as there is a huge fit difference between the two colors. Luckily Backcountry.com has a great return/exchange policy, so I'll give them another shot and hope the next pair is sized correctly.

Nice socks

These fit true to size and are comfortable. The blend of merino, acrylic and nylon is much better for wicking than cotton socks.

Great socks

These are great socks. Even though they are a no show, they still fit with my backpacking boots. The merino is very nice because it adds a little extra cushion to your feet. This is the first time I have ever seen socks that are not only left/right specific, but are also labeled R and L. I haven't worn the the wrong side on the wrong foot yet, but be careful when you're stumbling around half awake in the dark. I'm sure it wouldn't be the end of the world though.

Quality

These socks are sick. Super comfortable and seem to be very high quality. They don't have a lot of stretch to them so be sure to get the correct size. A lot of cushion and comfort for your feet. And as always with merino wool products, great moisture control and they never smell!
