Pull the Stoic Men's Merino Comp 300 Full-Zip Hoodie over your lightweight baselayer when you need a heavyweight top that'll provide additional warmth but that won't leave you feeling stifled and sweaty. Merino comp fabric is soft, durable, flexible, and quick drying so it makes fast work of sweat and moisture when you're skiing, hiking, climbing, or trail running.

  • Merino composite material breathes, wicks moisture, and helps resists the bacteria that causes odors
  • A touch of spandex allows the composite material to stretch so this top delivers plenty of mobility and flexibility
  • Nylon and spandex blended in with merino fabric allows this merino top greater durability, flexibility, and resistance to pilling
  • Athletic fit keeps the merino fabric close enough to retain body warmth while still allowing space for layers underneath

Go to mid weight top

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm 5'10" 170lb bought the medium & it is a perfect fit. I've used it both at the cubicle and skiing works great for both!

Different material than Merino comp 230

  • Gender: Male

Figured this was made from a heavier version of the fabric Stoic Merino Comp 230 top/anorak are made of (which I have and love). Well, it's not :)
Instead of a smooth nylon outer face and cozy terry loops on the inside this has some honeycomb-structure reinforced fabric which is not smooth on either side and will certainly be less resistant to velcros. It's also thinner than you'd think just looking at the listed fabric weight.

So be warned if you feel like buying it on a whim, like I have ;) Of course I will find a use for it, it's just worth noting that the brief product description provided here can be misleading.

Great Quality

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got this in an XL and it fits great. I am 6'3" 220lbs. I was expecting something a little thicker and heavier. It is pretty light and thin. But it looks great and the quality is stellar. Nice piece.

This was my go to mid layer for skiing in whistler all season. I used it with the bombshell jacket and merino 150 liner, and it worked flawlessly. Its one of the warmest things I own. I recommend it.
