Description

Experience Bliss.

With its soft, naturally odor-resistant 17.5-micron Merino wool knit and ½ neck zip, the Stoic Women's Merino Bliss Lightweight Top covers you in functional comfort, minus the synthetic funk factor. We made this next-to-skin top with ridiculously comfortable New Zealand Merino, rub-reducing flat-locked seams and side panels, and a body-heat venting ½ chest zip so you can blow off some steam after a mean summit push or a tricky boulder problem. Merino wool transfers moisture while your sweat is in its primary vapor form, so unlike most synthetic fabrics the Merino Bliss Top begins to pull moisture away from your body before your shirt becomes saturated. And since wet usually means cold in the backcountry, warm Merino is the way to go. Stash your lip balm, energy gel, or other small items in the Bliss Top's zippered chest pocket for safe keeping while you're on the go. A reflective logo hit on the Merino Bliss Top's collar ensures a little more safety during your evening runs, and the thumbholes at the cuffs take the bunch out of layering.

I've used it winter hiking ans skiing and its a nice warm and comfortable base layer. It fits great, and its not itchy. I bought a small and its a bit loose on me but I like it like that. If you are petite like me (108lb) and want it form fitted I would go for an XS. I am a big STOIC fan.

Just wore this today for a hike in Pacific NW in 60 degree weather. Kept me warm in the shade and cool enough in the sun as needed. The thumb holes/long sleeves were perfect and avoided the need for gloves. Love the bright color which could be seen on the trail easily. What I don't like is the zippered pocket which is on the waist. WHY? If you tuck your shirt in, it will rub against the pants waist and is uncomfortable. It is a stupid place for a pocket IMHO and necessitates you wear it outside of your pants. Sometimes I will, sometimes I don't want to. Won't buy more with that pocket, but will buy more of this product w/o the pocket flaw. The pocket is big enough to fit an Iphone4, but it seems something that heavy might stretch this lightweight material. Love everything but the pocket so it gets s 4 for that stupid pocket.

I've never owned anything by Stoic, but thought the styling was great. I know that it's supposed to be a base layer piece, but I've been wearing it with jeans. It's warm and comfortable and I've gotten lots of compliments on the look. I'm 5' and 105lbs, the XS works well, though I have wide shoulders and monkey arms. There was a little shrinking after a few washings, but still fits fine (tight). However, the side zipper set off the TSA scanner at the airport. Still, I love this shirt and have bought 2 more Stoic 150 tops.

Got a M and a L. I am 5'4" and 130 lbs and am not a zero BMI, but average range. I did not care for the tapered fit around the waist/belly. I prefer a looser fit around that section. And they have a pocket right there that doesnt make much sense to me for that purpose of garment. I have average - not long arms and I found the sleeve lengths in both sizes acceptable and the thumb holes OK, but they did seem to twist the sleeves a little weird that gave me pause. Not a deal breaker. The deal breaker was that I just didn't really like the snug fit accentuating my roll of a belly which is not that big, but wasn't a flattering fit. Rest of the fit is OK so why did they have to do that around the mid section? Not sure if it is warm, but sure does seem too light to do much. I will definitely return the M and maybe return the L. I prefer Icebreaker M fit and finish. I do like the Stoic colors.

Stoic always has been coming back for more of their great products. This shirt is no exception. It fits and layers well. The thumb holes seem just a tid bit funny when wearing the shirt but I have found that ALL Stoic products do that on me. It's warm and the colors pop! I'm a size Med and the med fit me well.

They feel and look so great that I wear them to church as well as on the slopes. I love that the colors match the Stoic Boy Shorts underwear. My husband likes them on me, too; who knew that wool could be sexy?

I love all of my Stoic shirts and wear them frequently. I often layer this one over my short-sleeved shirt. I ordered one size up to keep it from being too fitted. I enjoy its soft and stink-free comfort.

Bought this for my wife who is usually pretty picky, she absolutely loves it. Very light yet warm. Definitely recommend.

I like this shirt; great color (black/pink); good fit( 5'9"", 133 lbs, medium); good sleeve length; slim fit without being too snug; good length. Good collar as well. A bit lighter weight than I was looking for and I would have liked a bit of lycra for a more athletic fit, but in all, a good looking light weight base layer.

I bought the top and bottoms for my daughter. They are not only comfortable and warm, but attractive colour and style.

I gave the Stoic merino layer a go. First off, the fit works for me. The sleeves are long enough. That's one of my main concerns. It's a soft layer and the black/boysenberry color looks great. I really don't use the thumb holes. Can't comment on whether or not they're placed in a good spot. Overall, wool just feels (and smells) so much nicer than most synthetics. And the little card zipper pocket is neat.

I expected this to be a Smartwool-type merino wool baselayer. The stitching was uneven and there was no protection for the face at the top of the zipper.

Just received it, put it on and don't want to take it off:) Super comfortable, looks so great - slimming stripes on sides. I got a medium and I am 125lbs, 5'3. I think the small would have fit just as well, but the style itself is fitted, so it works!!! JUST LOVE IT! Oh, I got the black with Boysenberry (which Backcounty only had a medium left:))

I own 2 of these, 1 stoic 150 crew, and 1 stoic 150 zip neck (same as this without the side pocket). This is a more true to size fit than skin tight fit (I wear a M in most things and this, but a L in icebreaker bodyfit). I love the zip necks for the temperature regulation, so wear them more often than the crew neck shirt. The weight is great for runs, biking, workouts, lifting weights, etc. My favorite workout shirt (my old polypros are in the back of the gear closet now) because after I let them dry from all the sweat, they are good to go for a few more workouts! Also, when biking into work, they would be dry by the time I would change back to go home and not be stinky! The 150 weight is nice and light, 200 is heavier and not as high aerobic activity friendly unless it is pretty cold out.
The black/boysenberry color combo is stunning. I'd buy another one if a cool color combo came out, but I just can't justify more unless one falls apart :) So far, they have all held up over the past 9 months with regular washing and air drying, no snags, holes, or seams coming undone.

Great colors. the pocket is a nice touch, and the thumb holes are well placed. I'm turning into a merino wool addict!

3 days of skiing in Breckenridge and didn't need another shirt. Wore this the whole time, didnt stink either. It was great. Also, I was warm enough with just this and my shell (got down to the teens at one point)

Perfect fit, got a S and i am 5,2 110 lbs, love the color Ceramic/Chartreuse. Like the zipper longer from the previous model, 1/4 zip is fine as well. Feels good and keeps me warm.
