I wore this shirt for 4 days on the W trail in Torres Del Paine. It handled all of the weather changes the park had to offer, and never got smelly. I used the chest zipper to adjust to the temp changes, and never got to hot or cold. Great shirt, highly recommended.

Don't waste anymore money on synthetic baselayers. Merino wool is where its at. I had been wearing a UA coldgear mock shirt as a baselayer, it was heavy, always rode up and smelled like hell after a long hike. This stoic merino shirt is the bomb, its light, enough to keep you warm on cool days (~50F with wind today) but light enough to wear alone on warmer days to keep cool. layered under a windproof shell, it might be all you need. its lightweight and perfect for my kind of hiking and running. I'm 6'and 150lbs and the medium fits well.
Bottom line: toss your synthetics, pick up this merino, you wont regret it.

Bought one of these to try something different from Under Armour, very happy with the purchase. I'm 6'0", 205 lbs, with broad shoulders, so generally go XL even though it's a bit baggy in the midsection. Bought the XL and it's a great fit, fits well up top, not too loose towards the bottom. The thumb holes are a nice feature as well. Keeps me plenty warm underneath in mid teens temps, and I've also used it running outside in low 30s. Awesome shirt, am thinking about buying another!

I bought the Dark Forest/Dune and Dune/Paprika in Large and am very satisfied. I am 6'3"195 pounds and they have a perfect slim but not too slim fit. The half zipper is truly a half zipper that goes down well below your pecs but it is great for ventilation under ski/snowboard gear. Also great to wear out for a casual drink/dinner. Biggest surprise was that they are not itchy at all considering they are 100% wool. Highly recommend and might purchase the other colors as well.

I liked the whole idea of this baselayer. However, I just don't like the colors they offer.

At least for the shirts I got, there seems to be insufficient weight and thickness, hence warmth, difference between the 200 and the 150, given their theoretical fabric weights, with the 200 being only slightly warmer, if at all. For example, a merino zip-neck in size medium, 150, weighs 7.9 oz, and in 200, 8.8. The 150 seems less densely woven, though softer, with about the same diameter of thread used in each. By contrast, an Ibex Woolies long sleeve zip-neck in 150 weighs 6.3, and in the new 220, 8.65. and is noticeably thicker.
Think both the 150 and the 200 are excellent products, but would guess the "200" is really a "175". The 150 is probably not as durable as the 200, but I would give 5 stars for its warmth and feel.

Are you serious ? You analyzed thread diameter size ?You
must be an engineer or a geek.Theoreticaly of course.

these base layers are as great as everyone says. i got them in 150 and 200 weights to adjust for outside temperature. they have a soft hand, wick away moisture, dry quickly and have no odor. i'm 6'3", 190 with 35" sleeves so went with the XL for the sleeve length. a little loose in the body but it works well still.

This shirt and a base layer are all I need for snowshoeing down to 8 degrees. Keeps me warm even when soaked with sweat. I am 6'4" and 220 pounds and the XL fits perfect.

Perfect for Winter activities

This shirt has a lot of great features. The deep zipper allows for some excellent cooling if need be, and the thumb loops are great. I went on a super long run in it, and it didn't stink (impressive after using many synthetic shirts)!

My only complaint; I'm about 6'2" and the shirt could be a touch longer in the torso.

Regardless, I'm a believer in Merino wool now.

I work outside, so I wanted to get a nice baselayer for the winter time. I wear this daily. It breathes really well. I use it for running, snowshoeing, window washing, and sleeping. It doesn't matter what I do to it never gets smelly. The thumb holes are great because they help to hold hand warmers in place. I am 6' 165lbs with a slender/athletic build and the medium is perfect!

Love this shirt. Very warm and comfy. Also love the thumb holes in the sleeves when layering. Would highly recommend!

I own two of these shirts and use them everyday during the fall/winter/spring months. They do a great job of whicking moisture off the body keeping you dry and warm while you perform. I use them primarily of running/xc skiing/resort riding and I have only ever been happy with them. I am 6'2" 200 lbs and the large is a perfect fit.

Absolutely love this! I finally had a chance to ski in this Bliss Shirt and it indeed keeps me warm. It might get a little wet [I am a heavy sweater], but I was also amazed that it dried before I got out of the ski lot. I was also able to wear it the next day without any concerns of it being wet or smelly. So this clearly tells enough about its durability and comfort of use. I would gladly order/get more in a different color. It is very comfortable even wearing just for wear and not necessarily has to be in winter or ski conditions.

We went for skiing holiday up in Canada and New England this past Christmas and bought a few essentials. This is by far my favourite base layer on my husband. It worked well (just this base layer and an insulated jacket in minus condition) and looked good on him. It also washed well (I used cold water delicate cycle in the washing machine)

My husband and I are going snowboarding this Christmas and we're looking for a base layer to keep him warm under his ski jacket. He has a more athletic build with wide shoulders and back but small waist. From the reviews I'm thinking a medium will fit him without a problem. The only thing i'm trying to figure out... is there a noticeable difference between the 200 and the 150?

I own both 150 & 200 weight Merino, I'd say go with the 200 for skiing. Also, I'm 6"2 170lbs and the medium fits great, except for the length, it's about 1.5" shorter than I'd like.

This is a fabulous base/mid-layer. It is thin and light yet warm and comfortable - not to mention stylish. I am 5'11"/180lbs and the L fits just fine. The chest pocket is also a fine feature. I continue to be satisfied with Stoic products.

I wore this shirt pretty much daily for over a month while trekking and mountaineering in the Himalayas (I used the short sleeve version when it was warmer). It's perfect weight, very comfortable, wicks moisture, stays funk free, and the quarter zip is awesome for extra venting. The shirt pocket is nice, too. I also have the version without the zipper, which looks nicer for wearing outside of the wilderness, but doesn't have the same functionality offered by the quarter zip for backcountry use.

I'm 5'10.5 and about 145 lb and the small fits like a charm.

Why does the product description say, "Pockets: none, Thumbholes: no", when the pictures plainly show both? Is it the right shirt pictured?

That's the correct shirt. I don't know why they have that specified, though.

I am 6'0 and 185 pounds with an athletic build and this shirt fits me wonderfully, it's not too tight and not too baggy, just right. The deep/deep color is beautiful, the thumb holes are also a nice touch. I used this as a base layer last weekend on an overnight backpacking trip and I was immediately sold on merino wool. The comfort is a major plus, and the shirt wicks away moisture as advertised. On a 70 degree day in Colorado this long sleeve shirt was awesome. After taking off my 20 pound pack my shirt was a little moist, but within an hour or 2 my back was completely dry. I have already ordered more merino wool only a week later, and view it as the best possible base layer around.
