Cover yourself in merino from head to toe when you pull on the Stoic Women's Merino 200 1-Z Suit. From top to bottom, this one-piece suit offers the warmth and advantages of merino wool without requiring you to pull on your shirt and pants separately (what a hassle!). You'll have completed the first step of layering up for skiing or snowboarding without breaking a sweat and everyone else will still be struggling to find that mega-wick-ultra-tech shirt that they 'swear they packed last night'.

  • Merino wool balances its ample warmth with natural breathability that helps excess heat and moisture move away from your body so you feel comfortable, not stifled
  • Next-to-skin fit is as close to your body as it gets, ensuring your warmth and making it easy for the merino fabric to help with moisture regulation
  • Two side zips open a hatch at the rear of this suit, just below the elastic waistband, so when nature calls you can answer without completely derobing

Not Entirely Impressed

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The construction of the fabric is not very high quality. The fabric is very thin, practically see-through and not very soft against my skin. I am a curvy woman and the fit was not ideal for me through the hips, though everywhere else fit fine. The sleeves were too long (in a size medium) which left excess fabric resting around my wrists. Not ideal to have all that excess under your gloves. My arms are not abnormally short or long. In addition, the seams do not rest flat which is a big down-side for me.

Less Hot Chocolate, More Skiing

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this under layer suit for my lady friend who, no matter what I tried/purchased, had extreme difficulty staying warm on the mountain. After much research I landed on the Stoic Merino suit and I couldn't be happier. The Stoic suit fit true and the built in drawstrings around the waist made finer adjustments easy to perform. While the suit has not completely solved the issue of her fingers and toes getting cold it has SIGNIFICANTLY improved the amount of time she can spend shredding in between hot chocolate breaks.

Works great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Got this for my wife for Christmas. She was skeptical about the onesie design but is perpetually cold so thought it was worth a try. It worked great - very warm, very comfortable and the worry about easy access when nature calls was unfounded - the rear zips perform well. My wife is 5'8" and 145# and the medium fits great.

Cozy =)

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

So far I've only worn it once while shovelling snow. But it was comfortable to shovel in! Considering how much I usually sweat while shovelling snow, this did a great job at keeping everything dry and not clammy. Though I did wear it with other breathable items (patagonia R1 fleece + nano puff jacket) in ~7F temps. I am 5'5", 115# & 30" leg inseam & I bought the XS, which fits nearly perfectly. The only thing off about it for me is the top being a bit baggy, but it's as baggy for me as it shows in the product photos. Except the sleeves. The sleeves fit perfect for me with enough room for the fold over mittens. My arm measures about 30" from the middle of the back of my neck to my wrist. The legs fit snug like tights. After shovelling, I did need to use the bathroom and the zippered bum hatch worked great. Also, I did not have issues with the coverage of my lower-back at the back of the shirt-top.

Cozy =)

Got the job done and more

I'm 5'10"and 130lbs. I initially ordered a medium for length, but the suit was very saggy in the back side so I exchanged for a small, which fits perfectly. I wore the suit three days straight with uninsulated snow pants (Stoic Bombshell Pant in boysenberry - matches the pipping and zipper of my suit) in about 20 - 30 degree weather. I am always cold but it kept me plenty warm. Even after three days the suit kept its shape pretty well and because it's wool it didn't smell.

I have long arms and sleeves always ride up on me, so I loved the thumb holes at the bottom of the arms. Only issue I have is with the flaps at the end of the arms that can fold over your hands to make pseudo mitten like things. Cool feature but the seaming at the top has already ripped and I have only folded them over a couple of time. It needs a stronger stitch like the piping all over the rest of the suit.

I still get snow in my pants :(

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this because I am always cold and my big butt/small waist combination ensures that I always end up with snow in my pants when I snowboard since my outer layers never meet right. I thought this would be the answer to my problems! Unfortunately, the back does not have a closure in the waist area making it no better than two piece long johns. It is warm, but I can't stand the breeze on my waist. Also, some of the stitching is coming loose and I have only worn it about 5 times. I think I will try the ninja suit.

I hate snow in my pants too...so I solely buy VOLCOM snowpants and jackets. They zip together and I stay nice n warm, even in -10 degree weather in Jackson Hole.

Did u end up trying the ninja? I bought one of each and I like the stoic but am worried about the snow up my back. I like the zip of the ninja and the hood, but I got the poly ninja so I'm worried that it won't be warm enough.

Back shirt tail doesn't cover back

  • Gender: Female

So I got it in L and returned it because the back shirt tail bared my back when I bent and the top part of suite was a little loose. Otherwise I really liked the fabric and the design (I got black coral). I also really liked the that the sleeves were really long. I'm 6 ft 1 in, so it's always really nice when the clothes are long enough. :) If the tail of the shirt in the back wasn't too short probably would have kept it.

Ready to be a winter ninja!

This piece is 100% merino and keeps me super warm. Only layer I needed on the cold days. I like the fit. I am 6 ft about 170lbz and I got a large. Length is good and is not super tight on me.
Made real well. Has a ladies' butt flap that goes up high and than the back shirt tail comes down far so your back is covered at all times, especially for powder days. Also has flip over hand warmer pouch for extra warmth on the digits.

Please, what size did you buy?
