My Favorite; fit, color, warmth

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I had a Stoic down jacket that I LOVED but after years of hard use (I mean I wore it every day, camping, hiking, to school) it finally ripped.

I found this pull-over and it looks a lot like the one I had but much less expensive so I gave it a try and it did not disappoint.

The stretchy fleece panels on the flank make the pull over easier to get on, it has a downy feel and warmth without the clumping, the green color is great for blue eyes, and it's so light weight I can stuff it in my purse when the morning chill wears off. Buy it.

Great little Anorak

  • Fit:Runs small

I love this jacket and receive many compliments. The wrist gaiters are nice and tight, which I love! I would agree that is runs a little on the small side. The jacket holds up well, does a good job of staying dry in light rain, packs down nicely, and is relatively warm. I would agree with the previous reviewer in that this jacket is well designed! I have no complaints and the sale price is ridiculous.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

Glad I followed the suggestion that the item runs small, as I am usually border between small/medium, the medium fits great. I also seem to have longer arms for my torso. This jacket has tight wrist cuffs and i have nothing else in my wardrobe with cuffs as tight as these. I do have wide wrists but these cuffs mean business, sometimes feel too tight. But I'm used to it already. It's great for biking, no cold air goes up the sleeves. But also you get warm super fast and it doesn't ventilate well. Good for short trips around town, low exertion.

It's great for Northern California evenings (yes, Palo Alto gets super chilly at night) and very packable. It's much classier than a hoodie I would just wear. It was a thoughtfully designed jacket - streamlined and plenty of pockets - love the kangaroo pocket. With zips.

A winner!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I ordered this anorak to layer under an Arcteryx soft shell for skiing. I ordered a Large (based on a previous reviewer's suggestion to order up a size) and it fits perfectly with room to layer underneath, if necessary. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs with a bust to contend with (36D). While I haven't worn it skiing yet, I did wear it for a power walk in 22 degree windy weather with only a tank top and flannel shirt underneath. I was plenty warm (and I am almost always cold). The wrist gaiters are a nice touch. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Stoic is fly

Cool little pullover. Not super warm (grab another layer if it's less than 40), and Stoic's details are super fly. I got the Boysenberry. Not too chic, but feminine enough. It does run a little snug, but I went with my usual size, small (5'4", 115 lbs) and it feels good with a tee underneath. Stoic=quality & stylee.
