Description

A four-season layer you can rely upon for years.

Trust the Stoic Women's Breathe Composite Top to feel extra smooth and comfy against your skin as you hike, climb, run, tour, or backpack to new places. The top's unique 3-D ergonomic fit is the opposite of a boxy cut: it skims your body shape smoothly and stretches four ways for a restriction-free feel. A DWR-treated, anti-pilling face resists moisture and wear and tear, and the slight mock turtleneck keeps your throat warm under your shell jacket or vest.

Skiing on a warm day

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my adult daughter and she was very pleased with the fit and the weight....soooo light.

Great base layer

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have two of these that I wear for any outdoor activity in the winter. I've worn them skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, and even to cold sports events. This top keeps me nice and warm and also dry. It's a little bit longer but I think it's a good length to tuck in. It doesn't ride up either. I think it's a perfect base layer.

Nice shirt, proportions off slightly

This is my fifth stoic shirt from backcountry/S&C etc and while I do love them all this one threw me for a second... I'm 5'10" (have this in XL) and while this shirt is a great longer length and a good fit through the torso the sleeves seem really baggy, almost like a sweater or loose mid layer. The sleeves are nice and long (I sometimes struggle with getting a good length sleeve) although there are no thumb loops which would have been nice :-(

The shallow alpine color is also definitely more green/blue than the blue shown in the photos. Haven't worn it on any beefily cold days on the slopes but it's good on days around freezing or below and I even use it for a short cycles on some of the cooler fall midwestern mornings. All in all, not perfect but I kept it, nice bargain on S&C but I prefer my Stoic merino shirts more than this one

for bitter days

This is a bomber shirt for those wicked cold days - I bust this one out for the single digit resort skiing days, or single digit/blowing, windy running days, but probably won't be using it for touring with the mock t-neck.

long long long!

I love this shirt! The sizing, fit and length of the shirt are fantastic! I'm 5 11" 75kg and large fits super well! The sleeves are long enough for my lengthy arms, and the shirt comes down quite long past my torso which I love.

I went hiking with this under my fleece in 0 Celsius and was toasty and warm and not super sweaty!
