Not Bad Not Bad

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

For the price these are pretty good base layers. However, it should be noted that the inseam is really long on me (I'm 5'6") and I could hear a few threads tearing the first time I put them on. I guess you get what you pay for.

Comfy

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

These are really warm and soft. Great used as a warm base layer. Good price, too. That being said, when worn on their own, they create a diaper-y effect on the backside (i.e. the seaming is a lighter color than the fabric, and it makes you look like you are wearing a diaper). Love these for around the house!

Versatile

I adore these bottoms!! I bought the green ones to wear around the house and for chilly hikes in the shoulder seasons, and it works fantastically. I bought a size medium for my mom as a Christmas present and she likes them too.

Only problem is they do seem to stretch a bit after a full day of use, as in a saggy-ish butt and loose cuffs by the ankles. But honestly it's not a big deal to me so I'm perfectly happy giving them a 5-star rating.

Stoic to the rescue

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:True to size

As with all Stoic products, this item outperforms every competitor at the price point. I bought these and gave them as a Christmas present but they are great for use while in the great snowy outdoors skiing, hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, etc. as a nice base layer. The mid weight layer with a shell over the top can handle everything but the coldest of conditions and can keep you warm up to about 5 degrees F. Definitely a steal at the current price!

Fight the Freeze

I got these on an outlet deal so I couldn't pass them up. So far I have used these as baselayers for skiing and also as leggings for around town adventures. My only complaint is that they fit a bit big and seem to be longer than normal, especially since the picture shows ankle;) Normally I would downsize, but that size is no longer in stock. FIGHT THE FREEZE.

    Great all around pant!

    • Size Bought: X-Small

I've worn these around the house, outside, and on a 9 mile hike. These leggings are great for the girl that hates jeans but is always cold. They keep you warm while also being breathable and don't become stinky after all day activities. I've also side swiped a few tree branches while hiking, and not even a tug on the fabric. Easily my new favorite pant!

    Good base layer

I usually opt for wool base layers because I like the feel of them and they keep odors at bay longer, but I thought I would give these a try. So far I really like them. They are very comfortable and also very warm. The seams on the brighter colored ones are a little awkward, so I always wear something over them. Overall the fit is good, but for me the smalls run a little long. I primarily use them for skiing, so the extra length sometimes is uncomfortable when they get bunched up in my boots.
For the price they are a great alternative to a wool base layer!

    Great Base Layer

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I have not had a chance to try these skiing yet, but my initial impression is that they are very comfortable and will be very warm. I tend to prefer a mid weight since I get cold often. These do not seem to be bulky or have seams in odd places that would be uncomfortable for extended use. I read the reviews before purchasing and I would agree they run a bit lower on the waist than some brands. If you prefer your pants lower (below the belly button by an inch or two), you will likely be satisfied with where these fall. Size wise, I think the sizing chart does a pretty decent job. I am 5'8, 135, and tend to wear a 4 in most pants. I was on the fence between small and medium, but opted for Medium in the end. Once I had a chance to try them on, I would say I made the correct selection. If you are concerned about inseam, these are likely around a 30-31 inch inseam (stretchy when on so it is hard to judge).

    Great ski layer

Wore these under my snow pants as a ski layer. They are so comfortable and are great at keeping out moisture. Super warm.

    Girlfriend loves them

I'm not actually the one wearing these tights. Not that there's anything wrong with men in tights, especially if you're Robin Hood or something. I gave them to my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. Sizing, thankfully, was true.

She's been practically living in them and loving them for running, climbing at the gym, and as a base layer for skiing and colder things.

    Very warm!

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These are great! They are super warm, which is most important to me, and really comfy, which means I pretty much never take them off. My only complaint is the sizing is KIND OF weird. I got a medium (I'm 5'10" and pretty fit) and they fit great (the length is perfect) but they are cut to sit right at your hipbone, not above, not even a little. This makes it perfect for wearing underneath pants, but sometimes I feel like I'm hiking them up when I'm just lounging in them, not because they slide down, but because they don't quite cover all that love around your hips like some yoga pants do. But I think they designed them that way so you can wear them underpants seamlessly. Anyway, especially for the price, totally worth it!

My 12 year old daughter thinks these pants are amazing. She wants to wear them as regular pants everywhere she goes. "They are tight but not to tight. And feel so good." This coming from a girl who loves ivivva/lulu lemon. She truly thinks these pants better!

I lulu lemon size 2 equals a Stoic XS as far as we can tell.

    Fabulous base layer !

I bought a pair for me and my daughter and we both love them! I went back to order a second pair for myself and they were out of stock. I'm hoping I can pick up another pair. Much better than the Patagonia Capellini pair that I paid twice as much for.
