At ease, mountain men.

Highly-breathable and outfitted with smooth Polartec Powerdry fabric, the Stoic Men’s Breathe Boxer keeps the boys comfortable on and off the mountain all year long. Whereas cotton boxers fail to control sweat and chaffing, the Breathe Boxer excels by wicking moisture away from your skin and keeping the fit smooth with its flat-lock seams. No matter how you hike, climb, slide, or scramble, this boxer's 3-D ergonomic fit offers full range of motion and stays put without sliding around or riding up.

Long term update.

The fabric holds up and doesn't frey. But the elastic is junk, it breaks and becomes very uncomfortable.

Breathable but not wearable

Great material, but not for sports, too baggy and doesn't stay where it should, especially while hiking, running or for the sport you probably bought them for .

better than cotton

Material is too thick so it absorbs too much water and doesn't dry fast enough. Elastic in waistband seems like it will wear out quickly. Still better than cotton, but I would go with the ex officio's.

fits well

ordered a small, fits me nicely (150lbs, 5'7", athletic 30-31" waist). No odor after a couple of days (!)

Stoic Breathe Boxers

I wanted to test them out before taking them in the back country, so I wore them for a week straight through work and 60+ miles of biking. They stayed dry, stayed in place, and felt great

thick fabric

These seem very durable and they breath well also. Beware of the pairs that I bought about 1/2 of them had defective elastic. I wear a XL and I have a 36 inch waste. I would put a button of the fly too.

Wish I bought more

Picked up a pair for a recent paddling trip. I knew I was going to be wet for extended periods of the day. They felt like they dried quicker than a pair I have from REI. Wish I bought a couple more pairs.

very durable

I bought ten pairs of the 2010 version of this underwear, and after 15 months of wear, they show very little sign of wear. Cotton underwear would be shredded after washing it so many times, but this underwear shows very little sign of wear.

The material drys rapidly, so I that is a plus.
The waistband is solid. I have some ex-officio microfiber boxers and the waistband fell apart after 6 months. I definitely don't have that problem with these.

The cut of the boxers could stand to be a little longer in the leg, but it is not a deal breaker.

Responded on

So far they are very good I have used them for skiing and casual wear. They do not seem to wick moisture especially well so I wonder how they will be in the summer. I would buy them again they are fantastic for casual use so far.
