First off, they need a button sewn for the fly which was done by my wonderful wife. Once that is done they are great for every day use. For hiking they were a failure. I used them for 3 days and they gave me a grundy the entire time. I will never wear them again for hiking. I also had significant chaffing.
0 stars for hiking.
5 stars for normal use.

Great boxer for casual use, having a loose fit and great material. 63.5% polyester, 36.5% nylon material breathes and wears well. Definitely suggest these for anything but active use.
No button on the fly is the one downside.
Decent.

First off, these run small. Second, they are ideal for a more casual wear. They fit loose, and they forgot to ad any button or closing mechanism to the fly. If you are using these for anything active, think twice, they like to bunch up.
Affordable and does the job

The boxers are comfortable for the most part though after several washes the waistband folds on itself and takes a bit of smoothing to sit flush. Also, the fly has no closure, so not the best for changing clothes in public. Overall, the price says it all though.

these are great for lounging around in. They obviously don't offer any support for more active use.

The Stoic Breathe Boxer is ultra comfortable and fits well. Clearly is doesn't offer any type of support but it's an excellent boxer for under your board shorts and other active use. Super comfortable and great fit.

These are nice and soft and fit ok for lounging around, but they really need a button for the fly. Seriously, my junk slid out the moment I put them on.
If you do buy them, here is some advice:
Don't wear these as swim trunks unless your trying to expose yourself
Don't forget to zip the fly of your pants if you're wearing these underneath
Don't run in them; you may experience the worst kind of chafing known to man

These are soft and comfortable until they get a little sweaty. Then its swamp-ass-tastic.

I bought a few pair of these because I had previously bought the Exofficio Give and Go boxer. The Stoic was cheaper so I thought I would give them a try. I have a couple of complaints. First of all, they bunch up terribly. Also the waistband folds over and is uncomfortable. They seem to wick moisture away ok, but I MUCH prefer the Exofficio shorts and am ordering some more right now.
I LOVE Backcountry and how easy it is to exchange something you are not happy with. This along with REI is one of my favorite online stores.
Color Correction

This is just to let potential buyers of this boxer know that the color labelled as black is actually more of a medium grey color, as seen in the picture provided on the website. And yes, these boxers are very durable. The lack of a button is not an issue with me. A button only serves to delay quick deployment (ahem!) and the thread securing the button will only wear off in time. No button = one less thing to worry about.

I ordered the xl I have a 35-26 waist and they fit well, a little baggy. They don't dry quickly and I would go another route.

These do not wick away much moisture at all. They dry VERY quickly, but are not good after sweating at all and become irritating. I would not purchase again.

I found the materials themselves to do a great job wicking and keep my body cool, the issue I had was with size. I am a 32 or 33 waist and I ordered the medium and they are pretty tight. I am going to order a Large next.

I bought these hoping the the mix of polyester and nylon would providing good whicking. The boxers are comfortable at first however once they get sweat they begin to bunch up and start to irritate the skin. I love stoic products, and unfortunately was disappointed with this product.
Almost perfect.

These are the most comfortable boxers I've ever worn. The material is very soft and isn't prone to clinging where you don't want it. There are also pretty durable. They've been on several trips now and many wash cycles and are still in great shape.
They lost a star in my review because there is no button on the front flap (which would be fine, except the flap runs the full length of the front).

I used to wear tight under armour under my boardshorts, but sand would get stuck between the liner and my leg and would chaffe. I then started wearing ex-officio boxers because they were polyester/nylon and would dry quickly, but they fell apart. I'm giving these a try now, they breathe well, dry fast, and seem to be holding up well (fingers crossed)

To start off, I'm a bit selective about the boxers I buy because I have a skier's build (bigger legs than anything else) and the Stoic Breathes fit the bill pretty well. The inseam was long enough, yet not too long for a kind of athletic fit (L size with a 31 1/4" inseam and a 33" waist), but what impressed me was the material used. It had the perfect blend of polyester and nylon as to where I would put them on and forget I was even wearing them even in higher temperatures. So, if you are a bit active in your lifestyle and looking for a pair of boxers that can do it all, give these a try.
