Stoic crafted the Alpine Merino 150 Crew Shirt for men who need a long-sleeve top that's warm, durable, and fit for duty in the mountains, on the trail, or in the snow. Blended merino wool and synthetic material helps regulate your temperature and control moisture when you're working up a sweat in the cold.

  • Merino regulates your body temperature and helps resists the bacteria that causes odors
  • Synthetic polypropylene is blended in with merino fabric to allow this top greater durability, flexibility, and resistance to pilling damage
  • Athletic fit keeps the merino fabric close enough to retain body warmth while still allowing space for layers underneath
  • Backcountry.com is the exclusive US retailer for Stoic products

This baselayer is great. I was suprised how warm this keeps me considering how thin it feels. Does a great job wicking away moisture too. At first it seemed a bit itchy, but I don't even notice it anymore. I'm 6'0", 205 lbs, with broad shoulders and usually buy an XL. I bought a L, as I wanted the baselayer to be tighter, but it was a bit too tight around the shoulders/arm pits. I returned for an XL as I really liked the shirt, was worried it would be too baggy, but it fits pretty well. Have worn this running as well, thumb holes come in very handy in cooler temps. Have worn this in low teens, doubled up in lower temps, and it does a great job keeping me warm. Very happy with the purchase, so I bought another one!

This shirt has restored my belief that stoic is worth buying.
Fit: I'm a lanky 6 foot 160 lbs and wear the medium. The fit is relaxed athletic, comfortably fit a tshirt under, but not much more. The arms are long enough for me to use the thumb holes, and the body is long enough to stay tucked in.
Material- The mild, pleasant scratchiness is reminiscent of the polypro shirts I rocked as a novice outdoors man. Not the softest fabric, but I prefer it to something silkier that clings to the body when sweaty.
All in all I'm pumped on the shirt. It's my new go to long sleeve for trips.

Got this thinking it was 100% Merino. My fault that I didn't read carefully. Nevertheless, it feels nice, very warm and the extra long thumb hole sleeves aren't as intrusive as I thought they might be.
I am 6"1' and weigh roughly 178. The large is a little baggier than I'm used to for a base layer but it hasn't bothered me. I prefer the feel of 100% Merino (e.g. Ibex) but it's hard to find much to complain about with this shirt.

Love the merino. I swear by using this stuff and all my synthetics have gone out the window. No stink, keeps you warm, keeps you dry. Nailed it. Sizing is pretty true but i like my baselayer somewhat tight and at 5'10" 175 its perfect.

Absolutely love this. It is warm on hikes, soft and nice extra long sleeves.

I'm normally an XL, got the xl in this and it fits great. athletic cut, long! great fit for taller folks, I am about 6'3" super comfy. I got black because I dont like how some merinos are more "see thru " not a worry with this one. Great shirt, great value. Only thing I cant rate it on yet is durability

Is that meant to be 5 ounces? Or something.5 oz? Can't be .5 oz.
