Get a great rope and help a great cause.
When Chris Sharma is working the moves on his latest project, he ties in with the Sterling Velocity (Access Fund) Standard Climbing Rope for the ideal blend of performance and durability. When you tie in with the Velocity, you get the same great performance, and you're also helping to support the American Alpine Club and the Access Fund—non-profit organizations that work to protect and maintain our climbing areas. For each Velocity sold, Sterling will donate ten dollars to support the missions of the AAC and the Access Fund.
- Green, gray, and black weave pattern is intended to represent the colors of the Access fund and the American Alpine Club
- 8.8 KN impact force rating and a 6 fall UIAA rating provide an ideal balance of performance and durability
- Low weight of just 62 grams per meter won't hold you back when you're gunning for the chains
- 9.8mm diameter and a tight sheath weave provide good handling characteristics while reducing drag

the end of the rope
Just got it
I plan on taking it out for a spin at the gym tomorrow. I already know 9.8mm was the right choice. The color is excellent. The extra 5$ is worth the color alone, not to mention that is benefits the access fund and the american alpine club!
This is the same as the Chris Sharma rope...
