Like just about every climbing rope on the market today (except for specialty-use ropes for rescue and caving), both the kern and mantle of this rope are woven from Nylon.

This rope is a multi-pitch free climbing tool! Super tough, yet super soft. I have taken repeated whiperz on it (we are not talkin sport whips) and this cord keeps its softness. No sheath slipage, this rope lasts like a 10.8mm, but handles like a 9.2mm!
