Making your HD television seem blurry.

Amateur astronomer? Safari addict? Football fan with seats in the stratosphere? Regardless of what gets the party started in your world, the Steiner Safari UltraSharp 10x26 Binoculars let you clearly see the action, be in the waning light of day or on the goal line late in the 4th quarter. An increase in magnification from the Safari 8x22, but not quite as precise as the Safari 8x30, this pair of binoculars offers long-distance resolution with low-light capabilities and German-engineered optics without the price tag oft associated with German engineering.

Truth in numbers should be status quo regardless of the setting, and with Steiner, you don't have to worry about fudging. 10x 26 refers to the magnification (10) and the objective diameter (26). If you're only able to afford season tickets that are in the neighboring county, don't worry. What is really 100 feet away will seem like it's only 10 feet away. Your last-second audible for a quarterback sneak won't be heard, but you'll feel like you're close enough to call the plays. The objective diameter lets more light in than the 8x22 but not as much as the 8x30, but with this close-up view, you'll be too busy trying to touch the players to notice.

UltraSharp optics provide overall clarity to crisp images produced with BAK-4 glass prisms. The prism glass virtually eliminates internal light scattering so what you see is a sharp, well-defined image. The optical technology hones the edges to prevent blurring and bending and takes colors from average to mind-blowing. Ergonomic eyecups fold down if you need your specs to see, and the extreme temperature resilience of these 'nocs means your intense gaze never wavers, even when the mercury pushes the upper and lower bounds of the thermometer.

Steiner Safari binoculars hard but good!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got these for sight seeing in Alaska. Compact size makes for easy packing. The high contrast glass prevents squinting but I found that I had to spend some extra time getting stuff into focus. There's a bit of a learning curve for me since these were my first high end premium binoculars but they serve their purpose well! I recommend them for trips and really anything where you're not pressed for time. Overall, I like em quite a bit and plan to bring them on all my adventures.

    Compact, and sharp!

Just got these binoculars, and love them. A nice compact package/storage allows for secure dirt free storage in my backpack. While the high quality high contrast glass allows me to do less squinting, and more studying of the subject matter I'm looking at.

    Highly Recommended!
