ZTR Grail Comp - Disc

The ZTR Grail comp wheelset draws on years of tubeless tire experience. Stan’s NoTubes was one of the first companies that dug into tubeless technology for mountain bikes. Many designs have come and gone. Today’s tubeless setups are easy to install and maintain, lightweight, and dependable. The benefits are obvious—lighter weight and fewer flat tires (performance and safety). There are no drawbacks—it’s that simple.

The ZTR Grail Comp also benefits from disc brake technology. As mountain bikers have known for years and motorcyclists have known for decades, disc brakes are far superior to rim brakes. They are much, much more powerful than rim brakes, they are virtually unaffected by weather, and they are very light. Stan’s ZTR Grail Comp wheels are compatible with standard 6-bolt systems.

The ZTR Grail Comp rim is 24mm wide with a 20mm internal width, and at 24mm deep, it is the most aerodynamic rim that Stan’s offers. Wide rims mean better aerodynamics, and because you can run lower tire pressures, greater comfort, lower rolling resistance, and better cornering control. At 32 spokes per wheel, the Grail Comp is a bit heavier than its siblings, but the added strength equals greater safety and a higher rider weight limit. The ZTRs are laced to Stan’s NoTubes 3.30 Disc hubs. The hubs feature chrome bearings, which are much more resistant to wear than stainless steel.
